To ride around in 3rd-5th and prove that he can make it through a whole season? My gawd, alessi is keeping up with him! Really wish he would've got the knee fixed in the early SX season and came out swinging in the outdoors! I gotta say, I don't like this new Stewart guy. I would rather see him retire than struggle for a top 5! IMO of course

The dudes been racing professionally for what, 12+ years? At some point all the racing, crashing and drama was going to eat away his drive to win.
he hasnt rode a full season outdoors in awhile..dude needs to get back into the grind of things in order to compete for a title
i believe hes coming into it alot smarter and is riding way into his comfort zone
expect to see him stepping it up for sure in the next few
Only the rarest of athletes go out on top. It's more than just a job for them. It's their livelihood and their identity all rolled up into one thing. I agree somewhat with the OP, but I also understand that this is his life.
Does he still have the desire? He certainly has the skills, so... When should he quit? Thats up to JS7 to answer that question. I don't have any real opinions myself other than if it's as hard to watch for me as it is for him to ride, then I would say now.

I think he should take the summer off to get the knee fixed. Come back strong for '14.
DC didn't even know Reed was ill.
What is Reed's illness? How is his knee?
Will James get his knee fixed? How bad is the wrist?
Noticed you're from Cincinnati as well, Have you ever rode at Dirt Country or New Vienna?
On that note I'm a big fan of his and it does suck to see him get passed by RV and RD like just someone in their way.
