I am not sure what you all are bitching about. There was a delay between motos. When I tried to re-log on, it made me pick Xfinity (which is my internet supscriper) and enter my email username and password and BOOM. I was watching the second motos. What the hell is your problems?
What they are all bitching about is if you don't have one of the few services to enter a UN and PW we couldn't watch the second motos. I have Charter Internet and Cable there for I could only watch the first motos. What everyone is upset about was the press release that came out a few days ago from DC led everyone to believe that all 4 motos would stream live on AlliedSports without all this trouble, there was also in the PR something to cover most international viewers and evidently that didn't work either.... Not so hard to understand really and I am happy it worked for you. Maybe you can post your UN and PW and we can all watch next week!!!!

I enjoyed the first motos, so thanks for that DC, but I don't think this is going to fix the problem international viewers are having. It even says on somewhere that NBCSN cannot broadcast internationally. I appreciate that Davey is addressing some issues, but in my opinion he can only fix part of the problem, us international viewers are still screwed.

I honestly lost you at ''a US based proxy server'' I'm not entirely sure what that means. Either way, I think the only second moto coverage I'll get until Tuesday is twitter and livetiming, kind of a bummer, but money rules this world, and that's what this deal is all about.
This.

I tried that, as well. My internet subscriber is suddenlink and when I tried logging in through allisports, it wouldn't. Went to suddenlink.com and logged in, no problem. Went back and tried through allisports/suddenlink again; denied. frustrating.

Yep,the money that funds the sport at the highest levels just grows on trees.
It's not like there is a money trail that leads back to the fans that follow it religiously or anything like that.
It's not like these fans fund the series with ticket purchases and supporting inside industry sponsors or sponsors from outside the industry that support this sport...
I could go on an on,but I'm sure you get the point.
To most hardcore fans, every AMA Pro race day is like Superbowl Sunday. Smile
Today some guys got the first half and then didnt get the second half.
Wonder how well that would go over if they did that in higher profile sporting events...an NFL event like the Superbowl?
My guess is a lot of people would be pissed off.
But hey how much did they pay?
Probably not the best way to bring in more fans or sponsors to grow it.

The saddest part is,most hardcore MX fans would indeed pay for a online stream of the nationals - that is how passionate they are. Wink

A us proxy server will make the website think you are in the us, but it won't magically give you a user name and password to log in to watch the show.

To clarify, AlliSports kinda through us all for a loop when they waited until inbetween 1st and 2nd motos to tell us (on their twitter) that the 2nd moto stream would only be avail to those who have the "verified" TV providers.

I was surprised we could watch the practice stream, as THAT was the one we knew all along that it would only be for the verified accounts.

The 2nd moto deal was a bummer. Hopefully that can be remedied for future broadcasts?
Well beyond that the thing I didnt understand was DirecTV not being on the tv providers list, when I get NBC Sports. I must not be understanding that deal correctly.

Either way, some people majorly over reacted today.

I pictured people being all...

firstly no one is owed free live motocross

secondly it was just very frustrating because it was a tease then takeaway but like crush said if anyone thinks DC did it on purpose for whatever reason is an idiot

I'd just like to know ahead of time if it is going to be possible to watch all the motos online.. if not I'll gladly watch the first motos then go back to sleep!

but I'd like to know why there's such an aversion to asking us to pay for them

While this morning was frustrating, I got over it, watched the live timing and will wait for the torrent to come online to see the clinic that rv put on.

Dc has said it won't be like this for the remaining rounds, move on and up!

What I want to know is, what's it going to take for someone to step up to rv's speed? I think Stewart can, but needs to settle in for a few rounds before he goes ballistic with his right wrist.

Same here with Charter Cable, frustrating to say the least. I wonder how they pick these "verified providers"? makes no sense to me.

I'm guessing two things...

For us to pay, as per MXGPs, there would be really large setup costs to get that service running...

And 2ndly, for sponsors, that market is never going to be as attractive as a major network, regardless if international numbers are good, they're gonna be concerned with their own market and the ratings they can hopefully get there... After that point, the networks who sign on (And I mean that MXSports pays) are probably not too pumped on the idea of sharing content, regardless of our qualms with it, nor are they making it the highest priority...

But as I said, it's still an improvement. How long ago was the outdoor live network? Not that long, and that was a fuckin shambles.

Great post, case on point.

We all know MX Sports has the best intentions, but I would imagine trying to get the networks to take our sport seriously is frustrating. DC does give a shit, but the network execs just look at the bottom line and obviously we don't mean shit.

Gang, I was out on the track all day and my phone was dead in the second motos. I had no idea that there were issues with access for some viewers online in the second motos. I am very sorry for the letdown, I am truly sorry that this did not happen the way we all wanted it to.

We are trying to deliver as much as we can and when there are issues like this, no one is more upset than I am. I am very sorry for the letdown here.

We will try again.

Ok, you guys want live racing? Here's a lil secret, GO TO THE FUGGIN RACE. Hop off of dc, I highly doubt he planned for this to happen, and I'm sure he will do his best to fix the problem.

Its all pretty comical at this point. I would gladly pay PPV to have all 4 motos live. Sad that we can put an HD camera on Mars but we cant watch Live Moto on TV.

Yeah, that could be an issue, but, if DC is able to get the motos without the login thing going might solve the problem. I am not techy enough to know if the proxy server will work. Do you know?

It's a setback, for me, anyway. Last year I'd watch 1st moto online and then catch second moto on SPEED or NBCSports channel. No such option this year. We have Time Warner and we are neither a 'preferred' provider nor have Fuel. NBC was showing bicycle racing today.

It's a let down. But I understand how tough it is to get anything at all. So we'll suffer through.

Uh, yeah. I'm not sure why you think a proxy, which is useful in making your pc seem like its in another country, be useful in this situation where we needed a username and password to watch the coverage?

Yeah kenny! Ill just drop all my shit and shoot over to the other side of the world to watch a couple of motos Smile

I'm referring to douches like 909 er who could blast up the 5 and be at Hangtown without too much effort. Spending all their gas money on meth, Redbulls, tats n lift kits
