I understand peoples frustration for not being able to see the races but some of you guys are acting as if it is your RIGHT being taken away. It was advertised that the races would be streamed live on Alisports, WHICH THEY WERE!
You act as if networks are begging to show 4 hours of live racing and "this is what we get".
I am sure all the powers at be do their best to give us the best they can.
Why does MXsports owe it to anyone to provide 4 hours of live TV coverage and make sure your provider carries it? Isn;t it our job to support the providers that actually carry the races and not the other way around?

It's simple, try to imagine that your provider was not supported. Then for you, it was not streamed live as you were told it would be.
We were not told it would be live, only for select viewers.
It is a glaring and rather deceitful omission in the PR.
I pay for cable TV that includes NBCSportsHD., but my provider was not supported.
"Second motos on Ali will only be streamed to limited cable providers -limited access ect..."
Or something like that.
Some may have made prior arrangement's before hand to switch providers (which is extreme).
Rather then get a surprise that their provider wasn't on the list of limited providers minutes before the second motos (I believe why some are upset).
If they (MXSports) didnt know before hand, then Ali wasn't clear with MXSports.
The first motos worked flawlessly - but the second motos were limited.
Why not have both sets of motos on the same media access platform?
Or why not announce it in the PR?
Those are my questions.
It's our job to make sure we use the networks and providers that carry the race.
We have 4 hours of live streaming available to us, it is our job to ensure we can watch it.
I understand the frustration about today, we were all excited.

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Next week all the motos will be live on Fuel & NBCSN and there will still be people enraged because they forgot to change the channel or their DVR goofed up.
Sick of the bitching... the alternative in MXGP is you pay heaps for it... And it's not like the business model of TV stations and networks asking a fee for a service is new?
If I was DC, i'd take all the money they're paying for the network to SHOW MX, cause that is what happens, and just start building a subscription service. At least then when people whinge, which they would, they'd theoretically make some money off of it and not just be getting dragged over the coals for a bunch of internet fucks who don't understand that big networks barely give a shit about the 2 million people who like mx.
Some of us coudn't get the free stream because our cable providers weren't listed.
I don't think that MXSports owes me anything short of delivering what they promised: free live streaming racing to all in the US.
They need to tone down the message just a bit:
DIGITAL
In addition to television coverage, Alli Sports will feature a redesigned website and more than 60 hours of online coverage. All races that air on NBC and NBC Sports Network will be live streamed on allisports.com and through NBC Sports Live Extra, the NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets. The vast majority of races will be live streamed via “TV Everywhere,” the media industry’s effort to make quality content available to authenticated customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.
For desktops, NBC Sports Live Extra can be accessed at NBCSports.com/liveextra. The NBC Sports Live Extra app for mobile devices and tablets is available at the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and on select Android handset and tablet devices within Google Play.
Races airing on:
• NBC will live stream to PCs, mobile devices and tablets through NBC Sport Live Extra;
• NBC Sports Network will live stream to PCs, mobile devices and tablets
through NBCSports Live Extra, and to the digital platforms of participating cable,
satellite, and telco services, via “TV Everywhere,” which is available on an
authenticated basis to subscribers of participating MVPDs.
“We are pleased to announce the live streaming of every Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship race on NBC Sports Live Extra and allisports.com this season,” said Rick Cordella, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Digital Media, NBC Sports Group. “The redesigned allisports.com will feature more than 60 hours of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship content, including races and practices.”
You didn't pay for anything, I commend DC for trying to get everyone access for FREE!!!
The alternative is to pay over a $100 for the season for pay per view like Luongo wants everyone to do.
Now I love the GP's but this year I told Luongo to piss by not paying his asking price.
I even have residential line & biz line into this house.
I'm not getting a third line. lol
I got lucky in that I had Xfinity, but MXsports inability to effectively rely the proper information screwed up many people's weekends and they should be a bit embarrassed about it.
People act like the networks can't get enough of MX, when in reality they're prolly sick of MXSports pestering them to try and improve it.
Maybe an internet subscription thing is better in the future but it is also limiting for sponsors, and that is why they're chasing this direction.
Again, no one is paying for it, everyone should shut the fuck up
Pit Row
on the racer x page it says watch all 4 motos live here.....allisports....
all good....watched the 1st motos...then........................................................
crazy me
I did reply to your post but I was talking about others.
that is remarkable...having said that we have paid for it to be on......
everyone who buys bikes, gear, trucks, insurance, energy drinks etc. etc. etc.is what floats the boat.......
But then the second motos were limited to certain providers...Even people with providers that have NBC Sports and pay for NBC Sports could not access it.
Unless NBC has some sorta deal with certain providers to try to promote their services and using the sport as an angle on that. Then it basically boils down to marketing techniques and explains why they(NBC) did it. I just wonder if MXSports was even aware of this via their contracts in regards to TV/Online Streaming with Ali/NBC.
Post a reply to: Obviously, I am in the minority.
