That blows. No Time Warner or Direct TV listed on NBC Extra website for an "approved provider". Approved TV provider required for sign up. Give me a break.

Why don't you wait until tomorrow to start a thread bitching about the coverage? After we all see how it plays out.
I believe DC said Allisports and NBC Sports Extra will both have streaming feeds all day.

I too thought it was on allisports.com. Hmm. I have the NBC Extra app on my phone. You got a smart phone? Maybe try that?

I was bummed to find out we'd need a TV subscription to view the live feed on NBC. Does anyone know if Allisports will also show the practices? Dry

No it does not have any relevance on the OP's topic,

He is saying even though there is a live stream of Practice / Qualifying, you can only see it if you are already subscribed to an approved provider first.

The live stream is not available to just anyone.

I would say no one outside of the U.S will be able to watch practice, well not on an official stream anyway!

At least we get ALL the racing live here in Australia this year Smile

Hrmmm... I just thought you had to just signup for the web page to watch prractice! Also, I thought somebody posted about the race streaming itself, but I don't see that anymore. My apologies Wink

I have Cox Cable for my TV provider, and it is not listed for NBC Sports Extra.
But I am waiting to see how everything plays out tomorrow before making a thread bitching about the coverage and needing to be approved for NBC Sports Extra.

I just love how they only show the 1st motos on Fuel. Would you only play half a baseball game or football until halftime. Unreal to me.

I have time wanner and yes it blows but my Iphone (which is through Sprint) has the app (NBC SPORT LIVE EXTRA) and I can watch it on there. So if you have an Android or Iphone get the app and watch practice that way!!

X2. If you download the app (it's free) you can watch practice and both motos 250/450 live from the app! Go to Allisports.com or RacerX and go under tv scheduling. It tells you that practice is at 1pm via NBC sports live extra and both motos are also live via this app/website.
It's all there and live!! When you go to the app, got to "sports" and find Lucas oil MX, then favorite it, it will set a 15min reminder and your good for all the coverage.

So as far as the tv schedule goes, we get live first motos on Fuel. Then we have to wait until 12:30 AM on Monday to watch second motos?! Some people might not be able to sit down and stream the race. I always record everything in case I have to go somewhere for a period of time during the race (which I try like hell not to) but today for example I have to help my dad with something during the race. I was under the impression we would get every moto the same day, we would just have to switch channels between Fuel, NBC and NBC Sports to make that happen. Can someone please clarify this?

Really? You're going to compare an outdoor national to the biggest sports in the US? Do you realize how many MILLIONS of eyeballs see those sports compared to MX? There's a reason we're on Fuel and NBC Sports, because moto has to pay to be on TV and gets comparably shitty viewer numbers. Our best ratings don't come close to the worst MLB and NBA teams. Hell, Nascar rain-out coverage of the Daytona 500 which is literally 3 dudes running their mouths for 4 hours while it rains all over the track got better numbers than our highest rated live Supercross broadcast.

and that my friends is it in a nutshell.

seems getting this stuff on national tv is really a pain.

maybe they should just drop the tv stuff, take that money, put it all on the latest live streaming and allisports.

I mean, how many people get fuel or whatever nbc is calling their new cable station?

I say drop the boob tube and go all out internet.

There is plenty of paid advertising on NBC sports Sat night/Sun morning, couldn't they have put it on then? At least it could be DVR'd and then watch it Sunday without having to stay off the internet until Tuesday to be able to watch the race without knowing the results. Not everyone has the ability to stream an internet fed (I live in the boonies, no high speed internet available). Maybe for a race latter in the season, but the first race of the year not to be on TV the same day sucks, especially this year with all the heavy hitters healthy and ready to go. I appreciate everything DC does, but MX Sports dropped the ball on this one.

Why can't you people understand that MXSports PAYS to be on TV and the sports that NBC PAYS to air are going to come first...Indy 500 time trials and playoff Hockey are going to come first because they have much higher ratings...just no room on the schedule, it's that simple.
Nobody to blame it's just the way it is, DC and MXSports did the best they could with what they have.
And to everyone that is bitching about the live streaming....REALLY??? Weren't you the same people bitching last year when they didn't have it???
Unbelievable...Just goes to show that there are way to many people out there that if they won a free Escalade they would bitch about the color.
5/18/2013 7:00am
seriously bitching about not being able to see live practice? all 4 motos live on allisports for free isnt good enough?
