How about Alessi's killswitch meltdown in 05?

Although this was followed by simply the most awesome move in the history of the sport when Matt Walker stopped, dropped his bike and pretty much let Alessi know he had better get on his dirtbike pronto.

Guiseppe Loungo and Wolfgang Srb getting all cosy

Nearly everything Loungo does (except the "more affordable" 125 class)

The AMA almost docking RC 25 points in 2006 for the led levels in his gas at one round. That could have ruined the entire series. It was resolved, but for a couple weeks after it was announced it looked like RC's championship hopes were over and he was going to pull out of the series. Could have easily ruined the best year of supercross we've ever had.
The only bonehead part of that was RC and Suzuki threatening to take their bat and ball and go home.

exactly, a crappy rule? yes. their caving when a big name rider is involved is the problem with all their rules not unlike villopoto this season.

My complaint is with Nationals being moved to Sat and basically a one day deal. Ruined what used to be a killer weekend for a lot of fans and racers. All these changes were made to gear towards TV coverage and numbers still are not that amazing because joe blow will never related to MX/SX or anything to do with it. Oh and Honda def dropped the ball with Ricky, dumbest shit in history.
It sure was alot more fun back them. Now its like "In-n-out" At least some tracks (Millville) let us practice or race on the following Sunday. The Millville weekend used to be Epic, its pretty watered down now.

After meeting him at Millville and hanging out with my son, it was one of the best pit experiences we've ever had. Wish the same at Minneapolis SX with Stewart.

Eastwoodgate-

For those that don't remember- Mark Eastwood was the UK's MXDN team manager. Moto magazine ran an article where he was critical of the fact that Youthstream had stolen all the prize and start money from GPs. Mr Luongo wasn't happy, and put pressure on the ACU who sacked him from the job.
