bowers is a beast and congrats to him. being i race tyler in AX i knew he had the ability to win. what bothers me is how prior to him doing well most in here said he wouldnt because AX isnt hard, short laps. he wont have the endurance. just as you all doubted HIM and AX before this race and with some still saying he is a man against boys in AX thats so not the case. YES he dominates in AX but just as you all discredited him before this race you discredit AX and the rest of us you race it. Also i know the east wasnt as deep as it could have been, but Tyler beat the guys in 5th place back to 10th about the same way he does the top 10 in AX . so all im saying is tyler is a bad ass and deserved that win but it just show you even tho AX is smaller the riders in AX put in hard work
Don't get offended with something like that man. It's just a figure of speech. You have to admit with as dominant as he's been over the past few years in AX.....saying " He's a man among boys".....is kind of warranted in a way. That's not a discredit to any of the dudes who race AX.....it's just a testament to how good Tyler has become.

Isn't it the main goal of some of those guys to finally get out of AX and try to get a ride in the big show? ( SX ). I have known quite a few friends over the years that have raced and won many main events in AX.....and I don't think any of them ever held SX and AX to the same standard.

Smart kid.
Yeah, good career choice. What's he studying?

im not offended by that statement. just in general people dont give AX any credit. im not talking a back yard mx track when people say " oh its just like an AX track because its tight" often AX has bigger whoops and you have little to no room for mistakes on the track. AX and SX are way different from eachother for sure. and yes i know a man among boys is a statement and tho its true how dominant he is im just saying most people dont give AX any credit as if riding an AX track at a race pace is easy

Well.....I think most of those guys who put down AX don't really have a clue as to what they are taking about. It's a different animal for sure.....and leaves very little room for mistake.

Great ride by Bowers. I am wondering if Monster gave him an opportunity to practice on an identical track leading up to this event? Not taking anything away from his ride, but I wouldnt put it past Monster to dial him in for this race since they only had Davalos all season and were rarely on the podium. If he was able to practice on that same track while others continued to race the series it could explain that serious gappage he gave to his competitors.

Bowers is a man among boys the same way that MC was in his prime in SX. I'm not trying to discredit AX in any way but if you look at the results and who he's racing with- guys like Jeff Gibson, Kelly Smith. Bowers is at a whole different level. AX is super exciting and those guys are great riders but Bowers is at a different level.

I think he would be competitive in a full season of sx, and I believe he will race sx next year. I wonder if there will be any preasure to move to sx and not stay in ax? Like as in pave the path for "Road to Supercross" format that RC and whomever are putting together?

Shh! Do not let the secret out. That is exactly why Bowers and Weimer had great nights at Vegas.

The higher ups at Monster Energy Drink Inc. desperately wanted the 2013 "AMA Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship" season to end on a high note for all Monster riders. Ex CIA and current Monster representatives working in secret with the mayor of Las Vegas coordinated to build an exact replica of the Vegas track at an abandoned air force base in the Nevada desert. They even installed lighting to simulate the exact night time weather conditions to allow even more precise testing conditions. The entire project was secretly referred to as "Operation Dirt Shark".

Unfortunately Martin Davalos was not able to obtain the proper security clearances to practice at the sceret facility which obviously resulted in his late race struggles.

Are you still going to school? Yes, I’m taking online college courses through Danville Community College. I just started the associate’s program this year. I hope to someday get into sports medicine. I really enjoy athletes and working with people. I want to help guys get through an injury to keep competing and get to the next game or race.
