Wil Hahn Interview

Edited Date/Time 4/30/2013 12:31pm
I had a really cool conversation with Wil Hahn this week. I thought I'd share it here and see what you guys had to say. Wil talks about 2013, his past injuries, Wharton's aggressive style over the last few rounds, being forced to move up to 450's if he wins the championship, Zach Bell and more.

Great read, Dan. The 250 classes are going to be insane this weekend. Best of luck to Wil, Marvin, Kenny, and Eli.

Thanks for checking it out guys.. Both Regional Championships are going to be interesting. It's a tough spot if you're a title contender, because nobody else on the line--minus the GEICO teammates--cares that you're in a Championship fight. They all just want to win the Las Vegas SX. I seriously doubt anybody is giving a inch, especially with Bowers and Wharton in the East. No heat races, just line-up, wait for opening ceremonies to end and go.

You know the nerves have gotta peak out when their on the line outside the Stadium and listening to the pre-show opening ceremony stuff. If they could bottle that feeling I'd be first in line to see how it feels.

It's impossible. haha! I enjoy talking to the whole Hahn family and, knowing his mom, it's easy to see where Tommy and Wil get their attitude from. I think it's incredible when a family raises one top level athlete, but raising two, who are so likable, blows my mind.

What's cool is both Marvin and Wil come from moto families with older brothers that raced at the top levels of the sport.

May the best man win.
