Bobby, why are you always hating on RV?

Are you just jealous because he is getting all the results and glory instead of your boy, the hype800?

RV is clearly one of the sports best ever, why not just give him the credit he deserves?

As for Seattle, he told us he tried his hardest but it just wasn't quite enough. He's human, he'll get beat once in a while even while he's at his best. So what, he's the winningest racer right now and championships are what its all about. He never really holds back, always gives his all, but he's not stupid either.

holding back for 8 wins this season, possibly wrapping up the championship in SLC, and a possible 3rd sx championship in as many tries? the three in a row puts him in a VERY elite group, fyi.

or holding back from trying to catch and pass on a very slick and technical track with his main competition behind him? is that what you mean?

damn Bob, where did this dislike stem from?

I wouldnt say he was " holding back" per say..he was certainly trying, but "riding smart" is more like it..... Bam Bam was on fire all day and was really pushing it..He went down in practice a few times I beleive...then again in the Heat and he almost crashed a few times in the main.... RV was close but when he pushed to catch Barcia, he made mistakes......If RV " needed" to get Barcia, I think he probably could have - but he rode a great race....finished ahead of the 2 guys he needs to worry about and there you have it.....Also, considering some of the "words" between the two in the past, RV probably didnt want to risk getting taking out by Dum Dum, I mean Bam Bam....

The 3- Peat is just about wrapped up!!

The "results sheet" from the main Vital page has the points:

1. Villopoto 321
2. Millsaps 296

Does the 25 point difference(and most W's) mean he clinched it?

He'd need 50 in front to clinch the title with two races to go wouldn't he ?.

Actually he was holding back from lapping Mikey, however Mikey let Weimer by because he thought he was getting lapped by RV. True story....

Perhaps, maybe............just a little. A SX championship is far more important than "just" another main event win.

Even so, if he did, would that discredit the fact that at this moment in time, Ryan Villopoto is the best, fastest and most consistent motocross rider of (at least) the 2013 SX season......well dose it? Just sayin'.

Good answers...I thought it was because of the muddy slick conditions.

I don't think he did until the last five laps when he realized it'd take a lot of risks to close the gap back in. For sure he wanted to win in front of his hometown crowd, and on top of that, it would have allowed him to only finish second this week. It would have taken a strong, risky push to catch Barcia. Barcia was on it in Seattle for sure.

Id bet the farm that if Villo was down on points we'd have had a different winner..... anybody disagree? He sure did get lucky to not fall on the start though. He had one spot on the track that he could close in on Barcia instantly, it was when he doubled into the middle rythm section that was after the start and was able to go on off at the end, that's where he got right on barcias tail every time he did..... but he quit doing it..... was there a reason other than he didn't wanna play with barcia? doubt it.

What about Atlanta when he was down big time on points and Stewart beat him in almost the exact situation Barcia was in? Believe it or not guys, Villopoto can be beaten and he's not always the best guy. Most of the time yes he is, but not Saturday.
