I've been out of the loop for a while, can someone dummy it down for me and tell me why everyone is so sure he's switching teams? I don't get it, seems like he rides the green dirt cycle pretty fast.
This is correct, not to mention the jetski (or was it a waverunner?) issue

Jeremy wanted control, Honda didn't want to let him have it

That is basically what I was saying about the whole contract issue.

Most of my riding is done on a bicycle these days but I still have my 125, just not much desire to ride it.

I became a quad goon, so don't feel bad. heated grips, cold beer in the storage box and no helmet as god intended for it to be!

Funny thing, I thought this was about JBS, not McGrath...............The cold hard fact is that it is JBS's decision and that is all that matters...whether it's a SX only deal or not

There are facts that cannot be "proven"
For example, Sondra is a close personal friend of MC, has been for years, she knows a lot of shit about MC (and others), but she can't necessarily "prove" anything.

Can't prove what you see and what you're told

and Sondra is not the only one in that position

There are many on here who know what's up, far more than you. Sometimes they can't give you the exact details, but if someone says you're wrong, you're probably wrong

You need to slow the fuck down, and watch, and listen, and stop trying to be pushy and pretend to know shit, because on this one, you're wrong
The 93 frame was not a primary reason, not even a small reason.
Here you go Dave and 336 ......

this is right out of jeremys book on pages 186 and 187

" I went ahead with testing the new bike because I just figured things would get worked out. It was a good thing I did . I quickly discovered that I hated the new bike. I remember the day we took it to Glen Helen, just outside San Bernardino. I almost literally couldn`t ride it. The new frame design was so rigid and stiff I was afraid to ride it at speed because it handled so poorly. it was just terrible. It vibrated tremendously and was unruly in the corners, unlike my point-and-shoot`93 chassis."

"It rutted corners with a lot of choppy holes, it would shake right out of my hands. It also had a very low footpeg design that made my riding position feel awkward. That same month at the Tokyo Supercross on really soft dirt, I was crashing all over the place. One thing I`m known for is my ability to stay on the bike. I rarely crash, but I couldn`t stay up right on that thing. I came up short on a doulble and my chin hit the crossbar, knocking me uncounscious. I was bleeding all over the placeand it was just a mess. To this day I still have a half inch scar under my chin from that crash.

"That day at Glen Helen is when I decided that I wasn`t going to work it out with HONDA . It was a very somber realization. I was simply afraid to ride the bike"

Those words are right out od his mouth ..if you are still going to sit there and say that that was not even a small part of his desision you are crazy!!!!!!! lmfao&stfu

I think the '97 CR250 chassis didn't really have a whole lot to do with McGrath leaving in the first place, but instead was a big factor in his decision not to return to Honda for '98 with offers from them, Suzuki and Chaparral all on the table.

Why would he say that then ? That is not the only time I herd that either. Honda was fucking him over but he hated the bike ...If he liked the bike do you not think he would have reconsidered ?

You'd have to ask him.
My guess, to maintain his Honda relationship (remember, he rides for them now)

You can believe anything you want, but you're wrong

There's a lot of things NOT in Jer's book

Just read further in the book AFTER his 97 season when he had his private meeting with MR. Honda to GO BACK to Honda. He says many times that he didn't really want to leave. And Dave knows what he is talking about. He IS an INSIDER.

Back to JBS - believe all you want, BUT I heard that the equipment he will be on is far from done and that he is actualy meeting with another manufacturer this week.

I believe my source on this, but who knows for sure. Only Bubba's inner circle at this point.

I also don't believe the Yamaha thing is done by talking with some of his people at X games.

It is very ineresting. One thing for sure, contracts and handshakes don't mean anything this day and age. Everything has a loop hole.

My memory does get jaded, but I do believe that J.Emig during the last national broadcast on TV said that Stewart was going to Honda, not yamaha. But really it is all speculation, we can all be sure he has contracts from most of the manufacturers with large budgets sitting on his desk, just depends on what he wants to do.

LIke many others I think it is sad when riders of Stewarts caliber only sign supercross only contracts. I have no respect for someone who would rather drive his Bentley around during the summer more than he would like to pull in new fans and sponsors to the great sport of motocross.

I am not going to say how or who I know but you can rest assured he will be on a blue bike at the US open.
