if anyone thinks nascar is just turn left, should watch this video of travis driving. i can see the challenge that he seeks in nascar, i would be so white knuckled doing this....you gotta have some good nerves.

That was really cool, tho I only watched 5 minutes...

Pretty amazing how much time they can easily gain or lose due to track position and drafting... hectic!

I'm not a Nascar fan but I've always said this and I'll say it again: Nascar = marketing genius.

I watched pretty much the whole vid (minus the red flag stuff) and I'll have to admit, it was pretty exciting, probably owing to the fact that TP199 was driving. The guy is such a pro at everything he does. If it wasn't for him asking rookie questions of his spotters you would never know he was a rookie.

Watch the restart at about 17:00. Gets pretty hairy for a while.

When my six year old son was asked by his kindergarden teacher what he wanted to be when he grew up he said Travis Pastrama.

"The new spot shows Pastrana in action doing a double flip on a motorcycle at the X Games, performing a jump across a body of water in a car and parachuting from an airplane, then switches to scenes of him racing in NASCAR."

but dont you have to be wearing a parachute to be "parachuting"?

I agree, it's pretty intense from that perspective. As a driver, having to listen to your spotter and use your insticts. It's like patting your head, rubbing your stomach, and scratching your ass all at the same time.
