I don't blame moto journalists for not putting their welfare on the line by turning this into some big issue. It's not worth it. The only people who should give a shit are the guys on the teams who were directly affected by the outcome. If they're not whining, it's probably telling.
I wish Americans (and Kongolians...lol) would care as much about their friends, families, and the behavior of their government, as much as they gave a crap about unimportant entertainment shit like this. Sit down, shut up, have a beer, watch the race, enjoy it as time off from reality, and tomorrow go bitch to your Congressman about what the government is doing, which affects not only you, but also your family, your fellow citizen, and even other people on the planet. That matters. This doesn't.
I don't blame the journalists for that though...I'm sure they'd love to be able to do that, but the sport is just too small and they'd be out of work...so they have to stay on the "good side" of the teams and riders in order to have a job.
So we fans get the shaft on actual "news"...because the teams and riders don't want to have anything "negative" reported about them (though I can't blame them for flexing that muscle, either).

They're not rubberneckers, they're racers.
And based on the rules, a yellow flag would signify the racers are past the area of concern.
Holy shit!
But that particular incident is not in question here. Only the fact that the AMA passed out a penalty to a rider mid race in violation of the rules and then gave a BS reason for it and no moto journalists will call them out, write an expose or even dare to question it in print.

Matthes I stand corrected and thanks for asking the question to Kevin about the midrace penalty..
Therefore, I conclude you should Shut the Fuck Up.
Pit Row
Journalists in all sports walk a fine line between the general public and the athletes they cover. If you want to risk your lively hood over proving conspiracy theory's quit your job and dedicate your life too routing the evil out of motocross.
See how ridiculous that sounds?
I would have liked it if Matthes would have asked what the ruling would've been had there been no restart. Beyond that, I'm not sure what more could be expected of him. Waterboarding?
Being that Kiniry was on his bike attempting to restart it after the last yellow flag your argument is invalid.
PS Weege is the man. Love that guy's work!
PUSSY's!
