I'm doing a 2013 CRF450 and looking to get more top end out of it. Anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone remapped it and if so what did they do? Porting and polishing the head?

Its stock gearing right now. But I mean the engine itself, just producing more top end.

Why not a smaller rear sprocket like x said? . If you just want more power try race fuel and try diff mapping?

Dude you're opening a shop specializing in building race bikes, shouldn't you know this? Just kidding, here are some ideas for you.

Obviously properly porting and flow testing the head can make that head flow better for a cam that will move the torgue range higher in the RPM. If you are not willing to risk damaging the head, just matching the valve seats to the throat area and cleaning casting flaws will help.

You could try a stage 2 hot cam 2010-2013 are the same. Low $ cam with no need for different valve springs.

You could also retard the cam timing.

I'm aware of the many different things that can be done to the motor. Just looking to see if anyone has info that they have already tried. I actually have a flow bench and doing a lot of heads now. I guess my question is what mapping specs are people doing to get more top?
