Coming along nicely.

I know all about finding parts for these old bikes, took nearly 3 years to finish mine. The hunt is fun at first, then it just becomes work. You have to just babysit Ebay. I bought stuff from all over the world, nearly every English speaking Ebay site.

You should be able to use a 95+ carb holder as long as the bike had a Keihin. If you stick with the Rad Valve, I've seen people put a small patch of high-density foam under the carb.
I don´t think the 95+ intake will fit because Kawa changed the Crankcase to 95. If i remember right, Pro Circuit modified the intake at the...
I don´t think the 95+ intake will fit because Kawa changed the Crankcase to 95.
If i remember right, Pro Circuit modified the intake at the 94 Racebikes, they moved the Carb closer to the intake for a shorter way. In 95 Kawasaki build the KX 125 Case like PC modified it in 94.

There is even no space for foam between Carb.and Case. its about 1mm.
I will check when i have a Airbox and mounted with the boot, maybe there is 1mm more.
oem-cycle.com have a pretty good parts cross over check list on their site. Might find what years wil fit.Im stil trying to finish my1993 splitfire replica. Cant get plastics anywhere, so went decided on 1992 production replic as I have a 250 Im doing as well, and cannot get oem seat cover anywhere. For bikes that are not that old they ar super had to bits for. Also motosport.com in the US list the carb holder as still available.

Wow, thanks Rovalova. I can´t belive it !
Motosports.com has still the Carbholder and the Airbox as well ... i can´t belive it i checked so many sources and nobody had these parts. Just ordered a Airbox and Carbholder a few minutes ago.

If you switch your project to the splitfire again. i still have 3 sets of blue sidepanels, i would sell you one set for a very very low price. pm me if you are interested.

Thanks again Rovalova

Yeah, I was just looking at the parts diagrams. The 94 air duct doesn't even supersede to 95+. Seems like 94 was a big design transition year, I had some issues crossing parts with mine. I did find that there's some sort of coating on the stock carb holders. It's the coating that can crack. I cleaned mine off with brake cleaner down to bare rubber.

Thanks for the update, PeakFreakGermany!

I've been watching the 1994 Splitfire Pro Circuit decals on eBay for quite some time, but am reluctant to spend the money on them if I'm never able to source a set of plastics and a seat cover. Maybe I'll buy a set and sit on them in case my luck turns around and the various missing pieces start turning up.

In the meantime, I'll live vicariously through your rebuild!

Glad to help Peak, would love to do the first kawie splitfire but the blue side plates are useless without the white shrouds and blue rear guard, ;-( , will keep them in mind though as I am always on the look out. For now the 125 is complete as a factory restore, and im going to concentrate on th 250 either a Malin or Larocco/Kiedrowski look for that one will go either 92-93 for that one as I have both engines for it. Keep up your good work!

I just found Scubasteve a NOS 94 airbox on Ebay. I'll keep an eye out for you. The 98 airboxes fit, it's what I have on my 94, there's just a small notch where the harness runs to the CDI.

I'll keep an eye out for the carb holder too. I'm on Ebay 24/7 checking out KX stuff.

The only other place I know of is in sweden they have heaps of old kawasaki nos this is their web page www.nosparts.se you go to it and search their data base by part number. Its the only other place I really now of, Im like kawi kid check most days on gumtree, ebay and any where else, if I come across any thing will le you know.
If the airbox is okay you can get them looking like new by using black shoe polish, works with all black rubbe or plastic, dosn rub off onto clothes or anything either. My friend worked for team Kawi and they used it on thier race bikes frm radiator hoses to the black shrouds.

PeakFreak, try on Ebay "kawapartsx" store name for all your 90's kx parts as kidkawie said this is where i got a new airbox from.. Before that they had new OEM handlebars, pipe, plastics etc follow the store links to Kawasaki parts manual and enjoy.
Pricing very reasonable compaired to Aust Kawasaki dealers just shipping kills me a little but you should be OK as theyre in Sweden. Happy Shopping mate !!!!!!!!!

kawipartsx on ebay is the same company that the link i posted is for, they have all their stock listed on a database. They do have some rare unusual stuff, found some fork outer tubes cheaper than getting them re-anod.

In that link, the original 94 airbox (cancelled) supercedes to the 98 airbox which is the exact same thing except there's a small notch for the CDI harness. 98 they relocate the CDI to the airbox.

If anyone will also rebuild a KX125 1994 Splitfire Replica, here´s the chance to make a close step for that project.
i found 2 more sets of the Blue Sidepanels and Rearfenders for the 1994 KX125 and i will sell one set.
i know its a lot money but try to find a set.... took 2 years to find these brandnew sets.

all plastics like white shrouds, front numberplate, green front fender and translucent forkprotectors still available at every Ufo-Dealer/shop

you´ll find still 3 Splitfire Pro Circuit Graphickits at ebay.co.uk
