Andrew Short (like Kevin Windham) is just flat good for Honda. He has shown a clear preference to the red bikes in his best performances & in some interviews. No, he's not a real contender...but he has a great heart, is a pretty consistent finisher, and seems to be a nice guy who loves his family & fans. The fact that the fans associate Shorty with Honda ought to be worth a bike & support.

Heck, he's actually finishing ahead of a lot of higher paid (if he is being paid) riders without complaining about his bike not working right! Cool

For the love of God, who gives a shit. Riders have and will do good even if they aren't on "factory" bikes, it's nothing new.

Short doesn't HAVE to be on a factory Honda and Davi doesn't HAVE to get off his Rockstar bike onto a factory bike, he's obviously comfortable where he is. I can't stand the "imagine what he'd do on a factory bike" stuff. He'd probably get the same place in the standings, that's what.

I agree w/ some of the comments on here in regards to getting Short some bikes and a parts allowance from Honda along w/ a couple sets of factory suspension to get him through the season though along w/ a decent salary. That way Honda gets someone that is a good representative for them and Short gets the support he needs to keep racing, A win-win situation. No factory bikes, a staff of 100, stripper poles in the pits or any of that other s--t; just the support he needs to get through the season.

Trey did not crash twice. Early in the race he came into the second turn and stalled his bike. As he tried to start it he was passed by about seven riders. He was in fourth when this happened.

Thank you for sharing. The live show did not show what happened to Trey so I assumed he crashed.

Sad; but, true.

On the other-hand: We're talking about Andrew Short. He's even served in the roll of "Development Rider" at Honda and is obviously one of those guys that "Bleeds Red".

I'm still seeing a light at the end of the tunnel due to his Loyalty to the Brand.

This is obvious when you talk to someone at "Team Honda" that seem every bit as frustrated as Andrew. They, Literally, Love the guy...seriously.

No worries. Andrew is one of those guys that focuses on the Individual Battles and get's the War Won by going as hard as he can with what he's got...Saturday by Saturday; and. his "Camp"...from Kranyak and Crew (Saint Kranyak Racing?) to Seiji and...his Sponsors...AND, of-course,..his family...his Faith...

Andrew's in Great Hands: No Entourage. Just a Very Solid "Support Group".

As I was told, last-nite..."There are Better Days, ahead...I am willing to Fight to Get There."

We need more Andrews.

Stay Positive.

He is.

Glad to hear he is in good hands. Perhaps a solution is for him to return to development rider, be given a bike to use in that capacity and do the development testing as he performs in SX. Actual race development procedure. [Wink]

Seriously, he is a good guy and I am sure things will work out well for him. Karma will cover it.

That's pretty cool, had no idea they were moto!.
That's cool to hear ! I actually met Kent at the San Francisco Supercross back in 2003. Kent has been into MX most of his life. He rides and has done some racing as well. Several years ago, when Kent played for the Giants, he hurt his hand "washing his truck" and had to go on the disabled list for a couple of weeks. Later on, the truth came out - he actually crashed while doing wheelies on his RM 250. He was trying to hide the actual cause of the injury due to the clause in his contract.
