If there is a thread on this already I apologize; move it if needed.

I almost posted something on Friday when I watched the green arrow track map- why put a whoop section like that right off of the start? I think you are almost just asking for a few pileups- and thats what we got and one that could dramatically change the series.

Even during the race when RV2 was gone there was a couple times when he sketched out a bit, thats going to happen in the whoops and when you have 20 guys trying to blitz them when they're packed tight right off the start its bound to cause problems.

Just hate seeing this shift in points due to a wreck I guess but I think the track builders need to give a couple turns before the riders hit a long whoop section, triple, etc. Maybe a less difficult rhythm or something ...

I remember thinking the same thing, and that first section was a fast one. Those guys were hauling the mail through there. Just begging for carnage.

I thought the track was garbage. Im not saying it just to complain but the track was too tight and had nothing technical about it.

Dirt looked good from the stands though. Not sure if the riders enjoyed it or not.

Carnage makes for great video clips they can splice together and overdub with the monster truck voice for commercials.

Its crashes that the non moto folks come to witness, like it of not.

And Feld is about butts in seats, like it or not.

TV seemed to show a real dark section. Was there some burned out lights in Oakland? Maybe they didnt pay the power bill? Smile

so they put in a rhythm section, and the same riders go down and we have threads about rhythms after the first corner.

so they put in a triple after the 2nd corner and we have threads about triples too close.

i don't have the answer, but i don't think the whoops played as big of a part as 3 guys going into the same corner with aggression. Reed got out of control, Grant had nowhere to go, and Stewart was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

it was a racing incident, happens all the time. it just sucks that it was Reed and Stewart (seems like they are always involved with one-another)

Saw that two. And you could see more shadows then usual. Not sure why that happened. Seemed like a pretty narrow track in some spots too.

Okay they can't put a rhythm section there because we have seen pile ups caused by that. They can't put a triple too close because of the Canard incident. They can't put whoops there because of this pile up. Should they just have a flat racing surface from now on? You guys find anything and everything to complain about. I think the tracks have been awesome so far this year. They're keeping the lap times in the mid 50's which is perfect.

I thought the track was pretty lame as well. Way too tight, and it didn't look like there were many areas to pass. The 450 main was a major disappointment after that pileup. And for the record, I thought the first 3 tracks were great.

I agree with the track sucked sentiment.

After watching that crash take out 3 title contenders in one shot I was left feeling like WTF!? Shitty track design for "racing" and maybe the bikes are way too damn fast for SX. 450's are seriously powerful and can jump the entire section with a seatbounce and 5 feet of run up.

Either that or the field is too deep and that is what happens when you drop the gate and only 3 guys can fit through a section off the start. Dissappointing race in Oakland for the championship run.

I thought the track was pretty shitty. Barely any 180 turns. 180 turns are some of the best opportunities to pass. I've also notced a trend lately, the laptimes have been longer, but it seems like it's at the expense of wider lanes. The tracks are all so narrow these days.
