My son, Brad Kelly #171 Lites Class will be traveling to the last three rounds, Millville, Southwick and Steel City. He usually travels with his girlfriend Alisa Nix WMA racer, but she broke both of her arms this week at the x-games. She helps him at the races and he helps her. Since she won’t be going and he can’t afford a mechanic to take, he is looking for some help. He needs someone to work his pit board during qualifiers and racing. You don’t need to be a mechanic (although that wouldn’t hurt), but you do need to be responsible and be able to be there both Saturday and Sunday. He can wash his own bike, change the filter, etc, but he needs someone in the mechanics area giving him the info he needs on the pit board while he is on the track. You must be a current AMA member (or be willing to buy one $39.00) and be 18 years old or older or be 16 and have a parent with you. He is actually allowed 2 mechanics passes so you could do this with a buddy or a father / son. The mechanics pass is $40.00 and will get you anywhere except on the track. If he needs to, he can pay for your pass, but he is hoping to find someone wanting to experience something new and help out a true privateer. You are required to wear a collared shirt in the mechanics area and he has one for you to borrow, as long as you wear medium or XL. He will need help at all 3 rounds, so if you are going to be at any of them and want to help, shoot me an e-mail to rakelly@comcast.net and we can discuss the details. You can find out a little about Brad on is web site www.bradkellyracing.com
Thanks,
Ron

too bad jay isn't going to all these races, he could help and do a damn good job while doing it. good luck to the kid...will he pay a 10% commission to the mech?, hell even if he wins it'll only be a couple hundred bucks....wtf?

I'd be interested in helping out at Steel City. email me at dano1866@hotmail.com if you still need someone. I'm a ton of help and know my way around a bike. I've done plenty on a local and district level and take care of all my friends, but never at a national. Sounds like a great opportunity to have a lifetime memory of working at a national being that I never got to ride one myself. I'd be stoked to be picked.
