My buddies and I were supposed to road trip down to A3, but then we decided on Oakland to shorten the drive. That'll still be a blast, but who else thinks the A3 track map looks like a lotta fun? Big long rhythm section, and a lot of opportunities for passes and different jump combos.

I can already tell those last 2 or 3 turns will be were riders will have to use smart lines. It seems like on the second to last turn if you take inside of that litte ski jump thats gonna open the door for the last turn, but going wide is going to set you up for protecting that inside for the finish line. just my 2 cents

Really looks like a good track. Looks to me like they're utilizing all the possible space. Lap times on that one will be close to a minute.

I like this track...

As for the A3(?) track, I have a couple observations and opinions of track design.

Section 1: This kind of obstacle with a slight turn is very dangerous. It is one lined and if you attempted the outside line, the inside line will converge with the outside line. These slight turn-jump obstacles are not good for racing.

Section 2: This is a double with nothing to make it not one-lined. Totally a one-lined obstacle not good for racing.

Section 3: See Section 2. This sort of turning double is one-lined.

Below is a quick edit/copy/paste of what I believe would work better than the section they created. I just copy and pasted a rhythm lane, but the jumpe variations could differ, I just didn't have time to actually redraw a brand new lane.

Why aren't they sticking to straight lanes?

A3 looks like it will be very one lined. There are only 3 180 degree turns which is where your block passes will primarily take place.

On the flip side it will make for agressive racing.

I think there was something about Dodgers Stadium deciding getting some field work done during the baseball off-season, or some nonsense like that. So, they moved it back to Anaheim.

I think you're misinterpretating that section. 1. Looks more like moguls to me, and the other two jumps aren't that drastic of corner jumps. They've done slightly offset jumps before with no problems. But, knowing how these go, I'm sure the track will look more like your map than the map I posted.

I'm sure it'll be pretty short and mild. Seems like we've seen that in the past.

Upon re-evaluation of the earlier modification I made, there's way more space available here; maybe something like this....

Yeah they keep trying to make the track twist and turn to slow the speeds and laps.

Instead they should be making the races 25 laps or 20 mins plus two...

I hear that. A friend I watched PHX with was having a fit every time they went over the little kicker on the exit of the turn before crossing the start straight. I tried explaining that it was to slow up the flow a little bit, but he wasn't having it. I don't see why they are so dead set on 20 laps? They've changed a lot of other things as the sport has evolved, why not that?

This. I knew if I scrolled down far enough i'd find someone also thinking whoops after 1st turn could get ugly real fast.

20 minutes not 20 laps would work the same on every track and better for racing and the fans.

Yes. I 100% agree, and so does everyone else on this board (I hope).

Reminds me of Swan's sweeper rhythm section.

Don't see a ton of places to pass. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.
