Chad Reed's Go-Kart Track is a Problem?

Chad should just go buy her house from her.
Problem solved.

I love moto, and karts and just about anything else with wheels and would love to spend a day at Reeds compound, BUT if I was his neighbor I would be pissed as well. Even as a complete moto head I would want a break too. All that shit is cool do do or to watch but if I was sitting down to eat my dinner on my patio and i had top listen to a bunch of guys bust out endless laps I'd lose my shit.
I gotta admit that I agree with TerryK

He should have put 2 strokes on his karts.

Here we go again, 4 strokes shutting down more fun. When will you guys learn.
He has some 2 strokes, im pretty sure he is now up to like 5 or 6 carts lol He has a full stable so when friends come over they can all battle it out. (at least that is what i got from a recent interview from him)

Must be nice...and he sure knows how to have fun! Cool

Listen to this interview from MXA (if you click the below link it will start right where he talks about the carts...6 of them! )

http://youtu.be/o71X0MJSlA8?t=3m26s

btw: Dungey also now has a pretty trick cart, i bet he and Chad would have a total blast, both of them are so competitive.

Based on that photo, gonna go out on a limb and guess that they're tree-hugging freaks who despise all forms of internal combustion. Nonetheless...there are some woods about a quarter-mile from me and I can hear when people are riding in there. It's a distant drone, but sometimes you get these Ronnie Mac-like characters in there who punish the rev limiter and it does wear on you. Maybe you need over 100 acres to have this sort of fun eh?

It's hard to say what's what really... He's been there since 02 and if the neighbours were there first, I get it, but if they moved there, they can suck it.

On the other hand, like you said, if they're tree huggers then there is very possibly an agenda...

And on the other hand it's pretty rural, i'd understand Reedy telling em to suck it,

If it goes to court I'm pretty sure Chad's got the dosh to tie it up a while

Sounds like a cunt. Sucks that Reedy bought this property, apparently in the middle of nowhere, and can't even use it to do something 100% legal...

No, according to the link Crush posted - she's a coontie - LOL!

I'm a total moto head, but my neighbor has a YZ125 with blown out silencer packing. He owns the land behind my house and rips wheelies up and down the strip behind my house for about a 1/2 hour 3-4 days a week in the summer. It doesn't bother me, but I can see it getting on my wife's and my neighbor's nerves, especially if we have company or when having dinner.

This is the answer for kartings money problems. Too bad it will never happen. When the engine builders get $$$ for top of the line 125's and they make the rules, no one will ever have a national stock 250 class.

My kart ran a bone stock '05 KX250 engine and was the baddest thing with 4 wheels I have ever driven.

EDIT: Chad if you are reading, THIS is what you want. I can tell you where to get the proper sprockets and how to get an articulating engine mount machined. Or if you run CR engines everything is much easier to source. Actually that is the best plan. Just use honda 250 2strokes.

My parents have 40 acres and we had a track there for a while and regularly had 5-10 bikes at once and never had a single complaint in 5 years. Reedy needs to move to Georgia! Maybe the problem will fizzle out a bit since he will be gone the next 17 weekends so she won't have to hear it while she sips her PBR.

Chad just needs to throw some motard wheels in one of his 450s, film a video of him riding supermoto on the track and then tell the authorities that he built it for training purposes!

Seriously though why hasnt he been riding supermoto on that thing, it would be perfect for it!

I thought that this was the usual for 250 karts.

How can you not love this guy Chad Reed. He's showing TP how to have a good time in HIS own backyard ... how many can say that? I applaud him for the balls to lay that pavement.

Second that. One can be passioned about moto and have common sense. People don't get the shades of gray around here...

I though we already covered this topic though?

As much as I hate people trying to tell others what to do it does seem inconsiderate to move into someone else's little slice of paradise like that. 63 acres ain't very big btw

Even though the business is across the street, I don't see a house on the property.

Reed should just put a dome over his property. He has the coin. Problem solved. Or move back to OZ were there is plenty of land to build his playground. He made his coin in the USA. Unfortunately this is not a free country. At least not the nice parts of it. He could move to Nebraska or something I guess.

The amount of time actually spent making noise per year is so much lower than this lady makes out to be. She hates everything from what I have seen and this is somewhere for her to focus that hate.

Dude it's like 4 am over there? Wtf? I realize this is an important issue and should be treated as such. We need you fresh tomorrow you can't be up snap chatting, twattering, and feeding the Vitards.

I have been to Chads track and I honestly don't remember too many houses real close nor do I remember those houses being all that nice?

Doesn't a dude across the road and down a bit have an MX track also?

Is it just her business there JT or her home too?

I can't imagine there are that many days that there are bikes and even so it does seem pretty rural...

Fuck, she wouldn't have wanted to live near us!

That is about what I expected.

I can understand what TerryK was getting at earlier, but I get the feeling this lady is just an intolerant bitch.
