Looks like they just added some BNG. Not seeing anything monumental here.

What about the mpg? People at Chevy gave the lack of oil, increased shortage a though this time? Just by the look of it, seems they still go for all power... Amazing that people still needs 300-400 hp because they once a year might pull a trailer with crap...

The rear bumper steps are a good idea.

GM has been running dead last in Horsepower and Torque the last 2-3 years. This truck looks just like what they offer not, just slightly re-styled or like the poster above said.....BNG. LOL

Good ole Gubment Motors. Maybe the dull as shit looks Tahoe and Suburban will get some help. Would like to upgrade from our '05 model but the current one just doesn't appeal.

I like it. Nothing major, but it's cool.

My Tundra still looks better. Cool

This is America Damn it and we want power! We'll worry about MPG after we burn all the oil Smile

"Let's build a new truck. We'll spend millions in R&D and marketing and we'll produce the best vehicle we possibly can. It will will have power, towing capabilities, innovative bed and bumper designs and great technological amenities. Then let's get the cheapest, least-attractive buttons for the internal controls that we can. Preferably outsourced to whatever country is trying to do to China what China is doing to us. If the buttons look like they belong on a child's toy, except that no self-respecting child would play with a toy that was made so cheaply, so much the better."

I feel like that conversation was heard in a GM board room at some time.

Yeah, kind of figured that out already. I don't get it, we all know it's going to run out, still people don't give a shit about the future, or that their kids will suffer.

Or it's good the faster we burn it? Will force new inventions earlier?

Gas is almost $10 a gallon in Sweden, people just adapt, but there's tons of small diesels engines running around...

I don't see the purpose for the notched out bumper step. Just one more place for mud to get stuck. Why not just step on the top of the bumper like has been done forever?

Americans are fat and lazy, it's hard for them to step on top of the bumper.

On another note, the bumper will look extra good when rocks have blown those plastic steps to bits after 20,000 miles of gravel road.

You left out the:

Since we now have to offer 7 year 100,000 mile corrosion protection and the trucks don't rust out in 4 years...

Since we now have to offer 100,000 mile powertrain warranties and you won't need a tune up or spark plugs for 100,000 miles....

We need to come up with reasons for people to buy a new vehicle every few years. How about:

we make door handles that break with amazing regularity so the customer thinks his truck is falling apart...

we make the window regulators break faster than the customer can get them replaced so the customer thinks his truck is doomed.....

lets make the ecm go beserk on x date so that we can charge $350.00 for a "hard reset"....

We bought a new (leftover 2011) Dodge for the youngest son. Best riding 4x4 truck I've ever been in but damn o mighty, just breathe on the bedside or fenders and you have a dent. Shitty thin metal. Tap your fingers on a new GM bedside.....hollow echo for days!

Toyota Tundra bedside panel we put on just the other day.....talk about some meat! I'll bet it is twice the thickness of the Dodge.

When they stick a V-8 turbo diesel under the hood there isn't a lot of dead space in there. My trusty ol' 06 Dodge has shit loads of room with the straight 6 but that was the last full year without all the emissions controls.

And since 08 to do much on the Ford Super Duty you have to remove the entire cab of the truck to get at the engine.

Actually it's different through-out; however, they stayed with the "Same-Look" intending to keep the GM "look":

New Powertrains: More Power, More MPG, New Trans on it's way, too.

New "Exteneded Cab" with 4 REAL doors (No more "Clam-Shell" doors).

New Bigger Crew Cab.

It's new...it just still looks like a GM/Chevy...

The Bumper-Steps are a feature that's been brought back from the Oh-So-Stylish Avalanche.

The New 5.3 (C9, I think) will get the best MPG in class.

Actually, the 5.9 went half a year into 2007 also. My 2009 6.7 2500 is a beast, love it. The sheetmetal seems pretty decent to me actually. Maybe they got thinner with it between 09 and 11 ?

I understand the 2014 F150 will have an all aluminum body. Not sure I like the thought of that....at least from the repair side of things.

You ever get the idea that they don't want YOU working on them?Laughing

Every winter I have to replace the fuel filter vent valve after the first cold snap. Leaks diesel all over the top of the engine. Other than that, not much goes on with my 2001 7.3.

I hear ya. That is part of the reason I would like to keep this 06 going forever Smile but starting to feel the need to upgrade, probably a F450. Dizzy
