TTR 125 Problems

just cleaned the carb on my ttr after a long summer of sitting in the trailer. Can get it to start and run fine but will not idle, went one size bigger on the pilot and screwed the idle screw all the way in and still will not idle without choke on, It also has a bad hesitation about half way through the rpm range and will never reach the rev limiter with out bogging and coughing. Any suggestions? Im leaning towards checking the intake valves to see if they are to tight and possibly drilling the carb so i can get to the mixture screws. Any ideas on how to fix the problems?

Buy an ultrasonic cleaner or take it to someone who has one and clean the carb with it. You probably have more debris somewhere in the carb.

Carb sat in the carb tank for over an hour and the jets in an ultrasonic cleaner at work. Im doubtful that it is a carb issue because the bike starts right up and runs fine until mid rpm range and it falls on its face

Did you put fresh gas in it? If it ran good before you put it away, it should run good now. I wouldn't do anything drastic until I've looked at all the simple stuff. Those motors are pretty solid. Gotta be something gunked up in there.

Didnt run great when I put it away, had the same problem it has now. Put fresh gas in it too

If you have not removed the mixture screw that is your problem, drill out the plug[carefully], then spray your favorite cleaner, i prefer 2+2 into the hole.Then blow compressed air through it ,and you should be good to go. I do so many carbs and everyone tells me they already cleaned the carb. and it is usually the problem.
