I take it that you did not watch the 2012 Supercross season? Gavin raced amateur until 2011 I think. Last year he moonlighted for Geico Honda on Jimmy D's bike, and also filled in on the JGR Yamaha when James was out. He had some awesome rides also!

Reed was on fire tonight. So good watching him ride.

Second fastest tonight? Todd Waters. Quickly moved past Marmont and a few others to get into second, before he crashed and fell back to 7th or 8th. Caught Moss and Townley and passed them both in the same turn. Then cut down a 4 or so second gap that Marmont and McCoy had, tried to make a pass on McCoy and they both went down. Unfortunately waters had trouble getting his bike going again. He was riding fantastic; the mxdn definitely slowed his SX prep though, hence why we are only seeing his speed now.

11000 people showed up tonight. Unfortunately, that left me standing the whole event, and behind a bunch of people as well. Hope they sort that out next year, especially if Chad comes back

Ha, that guy was right below us. He got the biggest cheers of the night. We got there early enough to get a seat in the stands, even though we had to pay extra. Totally worth it though. Great night , Chad was a pleasure to watch.
He even threw his wet monster towel straight to me off the podium.

Pretty funny eh?!?! I laughed, mainly because I thought, what the hell is a guy in RM boots and country jeans and shirt doing dancing like he's in a club in the Cross!??! Everyone was cheering, hope the pirelli girls didn't think it was for them!

Yeah Reedy looked good... Sprint speed was there, though he laid up for about 5 or 6 laps in the middle... Corner speed was good tho which is always the thing with him.

Great track, best i've seen at an Oz SX in a while... finally some space to work with... bit more water would have helped but they were obviously worried about the rain...

That kid on the 250 KTM U19s was good to watch hey!? A bit of agro...

Was awesome to see reedy back here, the dudes on rails. That triple triple he was doing in The section before the main triple was amazing, if anyone else did it I missed it.

Hopefully they can get back to a footy ground for atleast the Newcastle final next year, it's a bit hard to see a lot of the track from ground level at a venue like that. Was a great night and an even better series, hopefully it's the start of good things for sx in oz again

I was wondering what all that cheering was about. Didn't think people would get that excited for a bunch of dancing chicks.

I was standing next to the first section after the finish line. Reed was doing a triple double, whilst everyone else double tripled. Cool to watch

I got to see that Luke Clout kid of y'alls back last spring at a LLQ in Georgia. He was a B rider then and clearly faster than anyone at this race (couple seconds a lap quicker than the A riders that where there) Clout is goona be a good one I think

Clouty had a big one too, I just caught the end of it, looked like he went over the bars and then the bike tackled him into the dirt, was good to see him get up, was pretty ugly

Not sure Todd was the fastest in outright speed but he is definatly a very strong bulldog , fastest lap times are similer to final positions and championship placings.
Reed 51.1
Moss 51.7
Bopping 51.9
McCoy 52.1
Marmont 52.2
Waters 52.2
Townley 52.4
Boyd 52.7
Simmonds 53.0
MacKenzie 53.3
2 secs between the top 10 made for good racing, Reed,McCoy and Marmont were faultless. Moss was passing well till tweeking his shoulder,Waters was just charging but crashed twice. Townley looked pretty good only dropping a few positions. This Aussie series was great racing and very succesfull and is of very high quality. Think it will be of even higher standed and with even more rounds next season.

Jake looked pretty good at Newy... Still scares the shit out of anyone watching him but seemed quick!
Matt Dislocated his shoulder at the opening round in a first turn crash, think he is healing up getting ready for an assault on the Aus MX Championship in 2013 in the 450 class.

Pic Below of him having his shoulder put back into place after the crash at Toowoomba
