President-MC
VP- Josh Demuth

Reason, McGrath was all for starting a riders union 20 years ago but the AMA told him that if he pursuid it he would be banned from competition. He knows how to put on an event and bring in fans.

Demuth for VP because he is on guys who has been through every step of racing. He has been a factory rider, he has been a privateer, he knows the money situation for the riders and would be a great ambassador to the sport.

Anyone that doesn't have special interest in lining their pockets and could see that this sport needs an overhaul both in the pros and amatuer for it to survive the long term. Most people mentioned in this thread would not qualify.

What would you change rocrac?

If there is no profit to be made it is unlikely we will find many who would invest heart, soul and baskets full of money into this sport. I don't mean to suggest that those involved don't have their heart in this.......but how many people will devote everything they have without a good profit ??? Rocrac makes this "lining of pockets" sound like something sinister..........the only thing that is sinister is the absence of profit because the sport vanishes in it's absence.

This thread began as something hypothetical for fun..........bashing the people mentioned in this thread by insinuating that they are unqualified because they have a desire to make money is wrong. Period.

Back to the fun speculation please.

Maybe Mother Theresa.....she doesn't need money.
Easy there killer I wasn't naming names or bashing anyone. Simply put, the president I wan't would be able to make sound decisions based on fairness and the overall health of the sport void of special interest groups. Kind of like the president of the US.

You can say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one. Smile

Justmx, I would appoint you and wardy on the special commity for amatuer sports you guys have a good pulse as to what ails us.

Rocrac - That is exactly what the sport doesn't need, a person who makes rash decisions...... even if they are based on fairness.

If your intention was to be funny I appologize for coming at you but i didn't read it that way.

Even with all the good intentions John Lennon had his dreams weren't enough.

Anyway....we have hjacked the original direction of the thread......back to regularly scheduled programming now.
