This rumor has some substance for sure. Way to break the news, woodsracer67! Another national only 3 hrs. from my house is always good news.

Edit: It's not even a rumor really, I heard that Carrie Jo announced it to the crowd at the race last weekend and they've already started building the track, so it's a done deal.

What no 2013 National dates yet. Even Glen Helen is putting theres out next week and we have an event almost every weekend. Come on Davey even Youth Stream has a calender of event date but use TBA because they don't have everything all bottled up yet. Supercross is done and I bet the LL dates are also set. Give your people something.
Cause like dude.... I'm sure DC is just like... totally sitting on the couch man.

Why does it seem like the only time you post you are either trying to call out DC for not doing something, calling DC a liar or chest thumping while screaming about Glen Helen.

I'm not sure I've seen a case of butt hurt last this long before. Might want to get that shit looked at.

I noticed that too, Switch. Methinks Mr. Info doth protest too much...

Mark, I appreciate how Youthstream gets their calendar out early -- they start two months before the nationals, by the way -- even with all the TBAs.

There will be a few announcements coming up soon from Lucas Oil Motocross.

I spoke with Rita few years ago (Indy dealer show) and she stated the Ironman GNCC already had similar attendance as that of a National MX! Anyway, I spoke with the "Money People" in the area and they tell me this event is a go...

That would be a great location for a national. Bring in he massive mid western population. Although somewhere in Ohio would be great. Wink It would appear that we enjoy our motorcycles. Motorcycles by state

Now who would say Elsinore is losing there National. That is just a rumor and not started by me. I would bet Davey's life they are coming back. Can't bet mine because there is no value. Socal without a National. They could go to Lucas Oil MX Park. They have parking and easy access.

Just a couple of questions, now would Indiana be considered a "southeast" national? How is it financially feasible to "build" a track instead of hosting it at an established track? Another shenangin like the freestone/swan debacle?

Indiana would be a great spot for a National.
Not sure if it's still the case or not but the reason the largest powersports industry trade show is held in Indianapolis is due to the fact there are more motorcycle dealers within an 8 hour drive of Indy than any other large convention center.
More dealers=more enthiusiasts.

Mr. Info, please don't bet my life on anything...

Indiana is not the Southeast, though it is a great motorsports area -- 60,000+ at the Supercross at Lucas Oil Stadium every year -- and the home of the series title sponsor, Lucas Oil.

I'm not even from the south and I think they DESERVE A FUCKING NATIONAL!!!

So many of the sports greatest hail from the southeast..yet they don't have a track.

Pretty soon all the supercross races will be in California too!!

I know how many fans and athletes are in the southeast. It's the top priority right now on getting the schedule together for 2013 and beyond.

So are you saying you are pretty sure the southeast will have a National on the 2013 schedule ?

Indiana is NOT in the South East.

South East = Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.

It can't be that hard to make one in the SE happen. Pala and Elsinore both got put together in half the time that you have even been trying to find a Southeast track. What's the hold up? Call Monster Mountain and tell them to get ready! Done deal.

I'd call North Carolina or even Virginia the Southeast before I'd throw Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana in there... Those are more like South Central.

It's the Atlanta Supercross that draws the huge turnout, so you want to stay closer to that end of it.

If only it was as easy as just calling someone and telling them to be ready... That's how things get messed up and people become unhappy.

My point was that other tracks have come together in much less time. There are several down here that are national caliber. Monster being arguably the best. If I remember correctly it was also one of the tracks DC visited a few times.

How long has it been? Gatorback 96'? I would love to see that happen in Indy, but come on, can a track be built from scratch and put on the schedule in 6 months? If so, an existing track in the south should be able to get up to par in the 3-4 years that have been discussed.

Burning up alot of diesel fuel in Crawfordsville right now for some reason. Outdoor national or new amateur national location at some point in the future.

Love the track at Monster Mountain but it would take a lot of work to get all of the big rigs, TV trucks and sponsor elements in there. The hard part is not finding a good track -- there are great tracks all over the country -- but finding one with enough area to fit the series into, and close enough to where it will attract fans...
