I see your points, from riding/racing both never gave many of the points much thought. And trust me I hate the beer cans every where, I have pissed off a few riders for leaving their cans behind, to me that is unacceptable. I was at Hatfield n McCoy riding last weekend and they have some single track only trails.
Thank you all for not making this a flame war.

Oh and yes my parents know I ride couches.
Uh,Friday.Moose. Callow.Boughner.

I know a Marvin Friday, Troy Callow (His mom names is Sue, who lives/lived next to Marvin less than a quarter mile from my house), and Alica, Alan, and Arin Boughner (forget their parents names but they live in Beallsville Ohio). Would these be them? Do not know any Moose.

At our local track they allow quads to race the same day. Quads destroy our lines plain and simple. Not a fan here.
Pretty much this ^^^^. Truth plain and simple. Nothing pisses me off worse than having 200+ guys on bikes carving some good lines on a well groomed track......and then have 4 fucking quad guys get their one practice and totally fucking destroy it!

It's just as much the track's fault as it theirs.......they shouldn't practice on the same day.

Another thing I have noticed, it doesn't take a lot of skill to go fast on something that you can't fall over on. Therefore you get people that have no business on a motocross track trying to do obstacles way out of there skill level. I've seen more bad accidents in the beginner quad class, than ever in the beginner big bike class. I will say that since the 4 stroke takeover the bike classes have become more dangerous for that exact reason. When I started riding you couldn't just jump on an 80 and go fast it took lot of practice and a lot of spills on flat ground long before you started airing out 80' doubles. I have also seen several quad/bike tangles that ended badly for the biker and not a scratch on the quad rider. Oh yeahthey destroy our ruts too.

on real muddy race days quads are great for sweeping the mud off! we make them practice first on mud days and ride first motos. we call them sweepers. oher then that they are good only for hauling beer and sandwiches

My local hare scramble series sets up a quad track and a bike track to race on. Last quad race I watched, some dude tried to go left off the start when everyone else went right. There's always that one guy.

The quads themselves are pretty cool machines, it's the riders that I take issue with.

This is myself circa 89. I was 13 and some slob let me wreck his Blaster at a fair race. Note the Vision Street Wear shirt, I skated there.. I bent his axle and bent both his front rims, and broke the windshield off his gay helmet..

We had a track and let quads run. We prep the track for hours and the quads just destroy it and turn into crap. Not to mention they are just goons who can't ride a bike. Please don't put quads in the same category as motocross its just not right. If you think so then you should have your MX rights revoked.

I went to my local pit today and watched some kid almost die. Me and some guys were the only ones there talking on top of a hill and they were all facing me. Some kid comes in on a TRX350 with a t-shirt and jeans. NO HELMET. He's riding around then goes up this 65 degree hill. Everyone had their backs turned and the kid gets to the top and the quad hits the lip at the top and goes straight up. The thing rolls down this hill a good 4 times while the kids still on it and sends him flying. I was the only one that saw this and was like "Holy shit! That kid just rolled!" I thought he was freaking dead. He held onto his machine til it stopped. I didnt pity him at all. I felt bad for the machine that had snapped bars and broken fenders. He wasn't wearing any head protection and rolled straight down. I was surprised the bars didn't kill him when it flipped. That, my friends, is why people who ride ATVs have a bad name.

I have mad respect for the guys who can ride quads at the pro level because it is very difficult. With that being said though I hate it when quads destroy a perfectly good rut. As long as the quads are not on a perfectly good motocross track with dirtbikes at the same time I am ok with them.
Agree. Plain and simple they do not belong on the track together. They make completely different lines than bikes and when you mix the two of them it becomes a mess. I have respect for anybody who races anything offload but the bottom line is they shouldn't be together on the track the same day.
