What a lot of you dont understand was that Emig had a drug problem that started long before he got in trouble. Ever wonder how a guy went from winning one year to cracking the top 5 the next? Kawasaki was trying to help him behind closed doors before he got busted, so when he got busted they had to let him go. It took Emig losing his job to see all the people he let down. Emig went through a tough time and kicked a lot of demons and came around, so I think he has every right to talk about it.


On another note, it gets old seeing every post highjacked because some scrub said some stupid stuff at one time.

One of the differences I see about JL is that so many of his "problems" involve imposing himself on other folks. Emig screwed up pretty good, but you never heard of him getting loaded and running around with a chip on his shoulder looking for someone to look wrong at him. Or rolling somebody else's rental car in full view of a bunch of fans and come out of it with a "so what" attitude.

Lawerence has a challanging attitude, "What you gonna do about it". Never saw that in Emig. Some folks like that, others don't. Too bad for JL that the ones that don't pay the bills.

FRO, did make a comment about knowing what is like to get busted.

On the other hand...I have several stories of partying like a rockstar in the early 80s.

Singapore, SX was a time I will never forget. But to tell the story...would only harm the people involved, so I'll keep it to myself. Some of those people are still around full time.
