Where are the post race interviews?

I went to a couple of sites, youtube etc and I couldn't find ONE singe post interview with team USA (meaning riders)? Did I miss something? Or they went into some cave or something?

I was wondering the same thing. Can read interviews about the American Ryder cup team that lost but no one can get an interview with the RD, BB, JB?

The US riders just seemed to disappear of the podium ceremonies weren't seen at the Monster Rig after party or at Cairoli's party at the club in Lommel!
Before they win again they need to learn how to loose honourably, to just suck it up and come out an have a few beers with all the other riders, celebrate the winners and comiserate the loosers.
The only team members I saw out and about were Big John and Johnny O'Hannah and a very drunk Mitch Payton.
Win or loose, the riders need to let their hair down and party hard!

I talked to a journo who wanted to interview team USA after the press conference at Lommel but was denied.
As far as I know, they did not talk to anybody or gave any interviews.

Baggett's comment that Barcia got disqualified because "they hate us over here" is so off. So many riders are disqualified from the GP's because of outside assistance, it's just one of those things.

it's in the rule book, but the interpretation was too strict, I also found the disqualification excessive

I really wonder what the problem is with that disqualification. Barcia was 6th at the moment. In qualification only the best 2 out of 3 results count, so, even in Justin wasn't disqualified team USA would still have 7th gatepick. On top of that gatepicks don't matter in Lommel. Look at Belgium in the qualifying heats. 28th gatepick and still all 3 riders were top 5 in the 2nd corner of their individual moto's.

I would also like to add that i really don't hate the American riders. There are indeed several idiots who like to booo. Probably to drunk and to stupid to ride a bike themselves. I enjoy watching those 3 american riders come over to Europe. What would a nations be without team USA ??

It's really a no brainer to discuss something like this. Sometimes the organizations apply the rules, sometimes they don't (fuel fiasco in SX comes to mind). It's still rules.

People bitch and moan despite the outcome, and one could play the victim or suck it up, I guess team USA wanted to play the victim here.

Yea pre-race Dungey knew they were only going to finish 3rd and Roger knew Germany was going to win before the race happened. Laughing

I take it you didnt watch it, its only 4min long.

For sure, some of us can probably survive on this event for another couple of weeks, but early november the abstinence/craving will get to much to handle... So bring it on, and this should be his damn year!

And I disagree. They were on the podium and congratulated the winners. Why would they go party after losing for the first time in 7 years? I imagine they were disappointed with all the pressure on them to win. I bet there would be a lot of "talk" on this forum if we saw our riders partying after losing. Maybe it's just a cultural difference... but celebrating defeat is not a Team USA thing. And anything but 1st place is always going to be viewed as a loss to Team USA, fact.

Also, there were tons of pics of them over at other rider's houses prior to the races. So I think you're making something out of nothing...

About cultural differens: Why does US athletes in many sports so often do the smacktalk before the showdown? Must be 10 times more embarasing if you lose. Everybody just iching to rub it in afterwards.

Show me an example of Team USA "smacktalk" before Lommel. I didn't see it. You might be confusing the Team USA fans with the riders. If you are referring to all sports, then I disgaree because that is prevalent across the world.

Regarding them being salesmen... I don't think there was any shortage of interest in Team USA at MXDN. From the people I spoke to they were signing autographs every chance they could. I doubt not going to a rider's after party changes anything. There is a lot of hate towards Team USA by the Europeans. I get the stuff directed at fans but I don't get it towards the riders. They have been nothing but respectful. And I thought the losing team was supposed to be bitter haha.

I wasnt talking about team USA I was just fishing in general. About team USA I agree, they were class act. A assure you there is no hate whatsoever on RD JB BB.

Do you realize how important team usa is for mxon. It would be a catastrophy if they didnt show up.
