;) :) I knew Big Daddy wasn't the insider he thinks he is. It's obvious he is second tier to you. Now could you please privately...

Now could you please privately forward some winning lotto numbers to me. I would gladly only need the winning numbers for the lower drawing amounts so that you can take home the big wins.

Thanks in advance!
I'm the real insider and I knew on Sept 17th but I couldn't say anything until Julienmark let the cat out but Big Daddy beat us all. I also know that Germany will win the MXoN. I know people.

When you quit making off-road bikes what can they expect? Kawasaki has a great off-road heritage but when you pull production on everything off-road then this is what eventually happens. Why in the world did they quit making KDX 200's? I mean tommorow if Kawasaki decided to make a KDX 250 and 200 with updated frames and suspension they would instantly be back in business. I just don't get it..and I'm a KTM dealer. For the good of the sport I wish at least one of the big four would come back into the market.

That really sucks, especially for a guy like Taylor Robert. Destry wasn't planning on racing a full schedule next year, anyways, but I think it will hurt his efforts. He has been on Kawi's for his entire pro career, as far as I know.
Taylor is an animal on a bike, off-road, mx, sx. Hope he lands a good ride. The kid has mad skills for sure

I went to Unadillas GNCC event a few weeks ago, there were over 1000 Bikes racing on Sunday and like 800 quads for Saturday. Seems like a bad business pulling out of the GNCC sries.

Yep, the first to go is off road. It's the combination of cramming 4-strokes down everyone's throat at the worst possible time in motocross history. Like I said before, the Japanese would rather pull out of dirt bikes altogether, than build a cheaper alternative. I think we can see the trend - unfortunately MX is next.

They weren't in the GNCC just WORCS, Endurocross and limited Hare and Hound

What does this mean for PC?
Pro circuit KTM....thats all. They started out as PC Husky...they will adapt noooo problem.
Ktm has outgrown all the Japs due to many factors...but Japs will find a way .... thats their nature.
A bunch of wrong decisions though...that let the monster grow....keep that 4 choke game and things will get worst.
I love all bikes but I have been seeing 2 strokes getting very strong again.

Yeah, there hasn't been a Kawasaki effort in the GNCC's since 2010 and even then it was the JG Offroad team (not even factory Kawasaki)... There actually hasn't been a Factory Kawasaki effort in the GNCC Series in a long time.

This is another reason why you're going to be seeing more riders putting together their own efforts in the off-road scene. It's a lot easier to get a little support from a lot of different sources than a lot of support from one. Thad Duvall put together his own effort for the GNCC's this year and Chris Bach did the same after parting with Factory Beta. It's not exactly easy but they're still at the races week in and week out, and Duvall even won Unadilla.

You need to cause you DON'T know what your talking about in this case... Kawasaki's offroad team was a factory team not some satellite effort...

Actually, I do know what Im talking about. But I dont really care to get in a pissing match over something so trivial.

Team Green was/is a support program. The offroad team was always under it's budget and jurisdiction. The offroad team didnt have access nor the budget for any "factory" goodies. It may have looked like a factory team, it may have been Kawi's official offroad team, but it wasnt "Factory Kawi Offroad". Dont get distracted by the semi truck.

Now if you can see the forrest from the trees on this, you'll get my original point, which is that we will LIKELY still see Kawi support some sort of effort next year. They just wont be able to provide the salaries via Monster. But the bikes will be the same. There was nothing worx about Kawi's offroad bikes. Whether they are giving bikes to a private team or to the Team Green squad, the quality of equipment will be the same and bikes will PROBABLY be on the line.

i just have to say whats already been said in this thread, Taylor frikkin deserves some support!! As hard as he's worked with Steve Hatch this year w riding and training, racing with his heart at the end of those long, hot, rough WORCS events, finishing top American at the ISDE, oh yea his Endurocross finishs, Smigel better be pulling pretty hard on sleeves of his upper mgmt!! just mho

Hopefully for his sake, he latches on to whatever private team gets the Kawi support. It'll probably be a package deal.

Im not sure what teams have spots available to be honest. WORCS has been dying a slow death so its not like their are other prominent teams for him to jump too that Im aware of.

And KTM has already made all the offers to their current guys. I dont expect their roster to change nor will they be adding anyone new. In fact, KTM USA is probably going to lose Caselli to KTM Europe for the World Enduros next year.

It's a very tough time to be a part of the offroad community unless you are under the Orange tent. If TM, GasGas, or Beta ever wanted to really make a splash in America, now is the chance because they would have little to no competition from the Japanese brands.. They build REAL enduro bikes that consumers like and want, the consumer just doesnt know they exist. But sadly, Im not counting on a Euro invasion anytime soon.

The team didn't use KMC parts but definitely had some goodies that they had made or did in house, and yes their are some people working on taking over kawi's offroad program next year. There is a pretty short list of who it could be, the main choice is kinda obvious and i hope it works out for them. Biggest thing on bikes is where the allotted bikes for the program are gonna get pulled from now and where they move the bikes from that loan pool to technically.

So why don't you Know-It-Alls just post up your real names / occupations / industry positions and credentials for the world to decide who is most correct?

People love to hide behind their keyboard and claim they're the insider who knows all but actually knows little of the facts. Or are you really insiders who shouldn't be discussing company information but can't help but talk about what you shouldn't be, especially on a public forum board?

I don't know who Jabroni is but I do know who Worcsracer is. Anyone who has been to a worcs race the last few years would know who he is. His info is spot on, I won't say who he is but a member of his family is part of the team.

Sales, sales, sales. When your an offroader and you go to buy a bike, you buy a KTM. You don't think about buying a Kawi 450 because it's pricey too. If you can drop 7k on a dirtbike, your probably in the position to drop another 2 grand and get the KTM.

I like Kawi and have worked with those guy and have owned their bikes, but it's all about sales guys... The KX isn't a very popular offroad bike (though it"s a capable one) and they have to cut their losses somewhere... This being the offroad progarm...

All of the mfgr's are facing having to make huge cuts because the off road sales (all bikes actually) are in the toilet. There are just not that many units going out the door.

Couple that with the fact that off road racing just does not get any real media exposure or draw big crowds and the answer gets easy. Smaller pie overall and no real ROI from that venue. MX draws more people to watch and gets far more coverage.

Sad to see happen. Off road racing has always been near and dear to me and represents some of the best moments I have had in over 35 years of racing mx, desert, and cars in a lot of different venues.

People will still be out there racing off road, even with the cut backs. I suspect we will see less travelling and folks choosing the events they attend more carefully.
