His flight from Sydney took off about eight hours late. Add in having to go through Customs in LAX, picking up luggage, and L.A. traffic, and there you have it.

Been there. LAX customs is a nightmare. I fly through SFO instead....when I can. Its also a slightly shorter flight to Syd

Beats me. Who knows what business he had in Australia, versus the opportunity to throw the first pitch at a baseball game.

There was also a pro surfer who threw out a pitch before the game.

Dudes plane was delayed 8 hours and some of you guys want to crucify him and say he is not responsible, he needs to keep his word, he needs his own plane etc...I hope you all judge yourselves as harshly as you judge everyone else. I never realized there were so many people that were perfect in all my life.

Why can't it just be chalked up to "shit happens"? Because he is rich? Shit happens to rich people all the time.

None of us know exactly what happend, so until you do, why not cut him a break?

Was he flying commercially, or through a learjet service.

I seem to recall hearing something about him not flying commercial airlines anymore, but I would imagine trips to Australia and back might be a little pricey for that even with his salary.

I stated the obvious. Why not come in a day early, relax, and be sure you will make your COMMITMENT and not leave it to chance. They just don't throw invitations out willy nilly, it's supposed to be an honor to throw the 1st pitch out, at least have the courtesy to make sure you get there.

I get his plane was delayed, yadda yadda... Maybe he needs a secretary to help him with his planner.

For sure, he needs to make Tiger Woods money to be chartering a plane that far as that's about a 200K trip.

I am not a huge Reed fan, but you crack me up. How many SX titles do you have? Actually, how many SX main events have you made?

Hate to break it to Reedy, but the first pitch at an Angels game was a lame gig, he might need a new pr agent along with his new ride. lol
