He has got lapped in every moto he has raced!

2011 Race 1&2 and 2012 Race 1&2

Obviously he is an incredible rider, but why do you guys think he hasn't been able to perform at this race?

Yeah weird... I think you throw this race out the door cause he still finished ok as a lites rider did he not? But Last year he stunk it up... Interesting since his come from behind rides are standard for him...

Welcome to Euroland, some adapt better than others,he doesn't seem to travel too well 17-17 and 14-6,

The guy is insanely fast back home,I think maybe 3rd place overall if he had done the GP series this year

There is no doubt that Bagget is the fastest guy on a 250 on US tracks. Maybe it could be something as simple as coincidence (lap times anyone?) but maybe this also gives him a better understanding and respect for what Kroc and Mushy face racing in the US? Then again, Mushy hasnt performed well in the MXDNs either. There are just too many variables to give a straight up answer

Hey what's the reason they dropped the class scores?!?!

ie the 250s get 14 points for finishing 14th. Not 3 for finishing 3rd 250 etc...

I liked the old system!

Hardly any of the top GP mx2 riders where racing the nations this year.. and the couple that did Van Horebeek, Coldenhoff and Nicholls all had DNFs in the second motos which helped Blake get second overall. Baggett rode good, and has great style but Roczen killed him, and Ken admitted he wasn't riding as good the nationals as he was in the GPs the year before, he said this weekend was how he had been riding the GPs, and he needs to figure out how to ride like that in the US.

It just shows how racing the world champ in the your national championship is not a fair comparison.

Martin Barr also beat Baggett in the first moto, passing him at the end of the race! Martin doesn't live, train or race in Lommel so no-one can claim he had an advantage. In fact he is working a couple of days a week as well as trying to race full time, it was an incredible achievement and performance from the the man from Northern Ireland to beat the US 250 national champion.

Apparently every other rider that was there lives in Lommel and trains there week in and week out, except the US team of course.

Musquin won his class in 2009 after winning the WC, but has not fared well at the MXdN since he moved to the US.

I don't think musquin has reached the level he used to have when racing gp's
Probably a lot to do with the injuries he's had, just doesn't seem like his former self

Baggett had a bad day, two years in a row.....AC had bad days at the MXoN for longer than that up until this weekend. Its ONE race. Hard to define a guys season based off it....On the other hand, he clearly was faster than Ken over the course of 24 motos this summer. I understand that Ken probably wants to take some confidence away from this great ride, but it's not getting any easier for him next year. Well, maybe it will if Tomac does in fact move up to the 450 and with Barcia out of the class...Ken better get his outdoor title before the American AC moves up......

Musquin will be fine.

They never dropped the class scores. It has never been like that. It has always been like now. Belgium lost in 2001 the mxdn from France. Strange, Everts went 1-1 and Steve Ramon was twice the best 125 rider. But he finished 11th and 12th or something like that. If he would have scored 1-1 (class scores) Belgium would have easily won.
