Why aren't the women included in the MXDN?

Why no women at the MX Des Nations? Because there are enough slow riders from about mid pack back already. I love the whole Women's MX scene but lets be serious they are not elite in any sense of the word. They belong in their own series at large amateur events but not in the middle of the mens elite events. What do you think would happen if they tried to insert a women's event in the middle of the Tour De France? This feel good PC bullshit has got to go and for the women's sake quit trying to shove them into a limited time slot in the big show.

Lady's Team USA, sounds nice, think if i see some country's, thay can make it into the A final. that whont be a surprise for me.

Tara Geiger raced for Puerto Rico in 2008.

She finished 30th out of 32 in the MX2 qualifying race.
35th out of 38 in the MX2/MX1 race.
35th out of 39 in the MX2/Open race.

And it looks like most of the riders she beat, DNF'd their moto's (some had laptimes over 10-15 seconds quicker)

Go look at the lap times for the WMX compared to the MX at the USA. Very different. The women also ride 250F bikes because presumably the power is just too much in the 450's. IMO they're not really built for it. Plus, it's expensive to even show up to the MXoN hence why not all the countries are there.

Women have been included in the MXdN as noted above. If they are fast enough, they can be there. If they aren't, they can't.

That's called justice. Which of course is not PC these days. And where did the term "politically correct" originate?

The Communist Party of the Soviet Union, which told people what kind of thinking was "politically correct."

Some legacies live on I guess.

I say we change out the WMX half time races for the WWD (weekend warrior dudes) that don't train , drink too much beer and ride 6 model year old bikes. On the podium the winner has to chug a pint of his favorite beer before accepting his trophy. Now that would be far more entertaining of a halftime show Smile

I respect what they can do on a bike for being girls, but unless they are racing in lingerie or some shit leave them to the amature events :p

would there be enough talent from other countries to field 3 riders and fill a gate? Seems like a good idea on paper, but I don't see there being enough fast women from enough countries...

it would be cool to balance out "the best motocrossers in the world" by including at least 1 womens only short moto that counts for team scoring.
maybe aloud to have as much as 2 riders from each country,but only count/score 1 per country.
dont know if the cost to transport even more riders/gear etc would even be an option though

I'm ready to get shit for it, but I think they should run 1 womens/girls race with the Jr. World race that was held recently. 65's, 85s, 125s and Open Womens.

I personally don't think they should be put into the MXdN weekend, maybe a seperate weekend if nothing else. I know a ton of people want to call it "part of the show", but IMO WMX is still a 'sideshow' type race that most people do not show up to watch. They watch it because it happens to be there at the race they paid to watch.
