Now, of course not all Muslims are violent, strapping bombs on their body, angry, intolerant, hateful to all who don't bow to allah kind of people but....

Where are the 99% of peaceful, fun lovin', free speechin' kind of Muslims denouncing and condemning the hatred and violent acts of the few "crazy" Muslims reeking havoc all over the world?

Maybe "most" Muslims do not engage in this type of "protest", but their silence in the matter just might speak of their approval?

It happens on both sides. Lets just be honest about this.

Hell, we have Christians that bomb abortion clinics here. Do they get labeled "extremists" and is that religion condemned?

As well as Iran, take a look at the colonialism and subsequent violence that has occurred in Indonesia's history, another Mulsim region of the world.

If you want to read further back, breaking up the Ottoman Empire was by design as well.

And for more recent reading and a breakdown of what is at work, read Malcom X's writings.

It serves the interest of our media and the companies that own them to paint the Muslim religion in the worst possible light.

From what Ive read, and the "explanation" you asked for, it appears that the extreme Islamic schools and their subsequent violence has been secretly funded from the beginning by Zionist Jews in Israel to create unrest. It's all a big game of smoke and mirrors. Israel has a PhD is deception. They wont fight their wars out in the open, they will make it look like they are defending themselves. That is a very simplistic breakdown. There is no way I could type up all the reading and videos Ive watched. I dont think that will convince you one way or the other, but it may spark an interest to read up on the subject and maybe dig deeper for yourself.

The Muslim religion is an extremely disorganized group of people whose history has been one largely of peace. You cannot say that about the highly organized Christian religions, the Vatican, or the Jewish faith. I wont sit here and try and say that I got it all figured out, I still have a lot of reading to do on this subject matter. Its a tangled mess. I just know when stuff doesnt add up. And I also follow the trends. Iraq, Libya, Egypt, and soon to be Iran were all predicted. And Im reading and hearing about even worse things too come.

We'll see how it plays out I guess.

The irony is, that the ones who sympathize, defend and give the benefit of the doubt to these people (all of them, from the ones who strap bombs to their bodies to flying planes into buildings to killing innocent consulates to the ones who are violently protesting all around the world as we speak, these people all share the same cause) are the same group who claim all republicans, right wingers, tea partiers, christains and conservatives in general, to be haters, racist (unless you are black, then you are a uncle tom), intolerant extremist.

Whats up with that? Tell me who's being intolerant here.

Real Muslims do denounce the violence. But what western Christian media is going to show that?

C'mon people. There is a lot more to this.
CNN
MSNBC
CBS
NBC

If it is happening (real muslims denouncing the violence) this group of media who be presenting it.

And on the other side, FOX also would be covering this news also.

Each media with perhaps their own spin however.

Look at who owns those news networks. Who are their parent companies? And what other interets or holdings to those parent companies have vested interests in.

None of this stuff is a secret. It takes a minor amount of digging.

If you want your news spoon fed to you, those sources are great for entertainment value, but they are far from impartial or of journalistic integrity.

CNN recently refused to air a major piece they spent decent money producing, because it exposed the Bahrain situation for what it is.

They are a prime example of an otherwise peaceful Muslim population that was manipulated into being violent because it served certain commercial interests to do so. Knowing their history puts the middle east problems into perspective.

Foreign dignitaries are assassinated all the time. You have to ask yourself why this situation is getting so much press? Did our media cover Omar Torrijos' assassination with such fervor? Not at all. Propaganda and politics go hand in hand, always have. The media is their tool, history has shown that. The Nazi's did it and we are as well.

I dont have a problem with all Jews or the religion. People can believe in any fairytale they want.

Hell, my stepdad who raised me is Jewish, as is half my family.

Its the politics I have a issue with.

Honestly, its not like I went looking for a reason to dislike Jewish people or their faith. I just read A LOT and Israel seems to always be related to one thing or another. Like I said earlier, I havent studied enough to put it all together, but for the moment, it doesnt look good.

Funny you would call me German. yet this thread is full of hate for the Muslim religion. Hate is hate, no matter where it is pointed. I dont hate any particular religion, Im agnostic. They are all equally stupid, people are free to worship whatever they want. Their religion doesnt bother me.

Seriously Jimmie you need to learn how to use the internet...... This took me less than 10 seconds from wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-abortion_violence

Here are a few from the link.

December 25, 1984: An abortion clinic and two physicians' offices in Pensacola, Florida were bombed in the early morning of Christmas Day by a quartet of young people (Matt Goldsby, Jimmy Simmons, Kathy Simmons, Kaye Wiggins) who later called the bombings "a gift to Jesus on his birthday."[18][19][20] The clinic, the Ladies Center, would later be the site of the murder of Dr. John Britton and James Barrett in 1994 and a firebombing in 2012.

September 30, 2000: John Earl, a Catholic priest, drove his car into the Northern Illinois Health Clinic after learning that the FDA had approved the drug RU-486. He pulled out an ax before being forced to the ground by the owner of the building, who fired two warning shots from a shotgun.[27]

Why don't the mainstream Muslims, the supposedly peaceful ones, get the fringe in line and act civilized?

Why did so many of these "peaceful" Muslims, as soon as their church was over, start mobbing and destroying stuff?

the pornstar film maker who made Innocence of Muslims is a pure idiot, but has again exposed "peaceful Muslims" for what they really are

The Christian Identity movement would be the root of the majority of Christian extremist's.
And yes in the 1980's they were strong & growing and probably still are just kept out of the mainstream.
There was The Order/ Brüder Schweigen/Silent Brotherhood and copy cats/knock off groups over the years also and some still exist today.

Here is a documentary on probably the most famous extremist right wing Christian Identity group in this country to exist.

They cant get them under control because they arent the ones funding them.

Besides, asking them to get their shit together is like the rest of the world asking us to get our shit together (Wall St, Politics, etc). Far more people suffer and/or die at the hands of our imperialism every single day than the whole of Extremist Islam caused violence combined.

Some of you here have a VERY limited scope of our countries history when it comes to foreign affairs. We've done more than our fair share of fucking with people in south America. The only difference is those cultures lack the religious ideology that strengthens their will to fight back.

If you closely examine damn near every single coup or overthrow of a government where it's country has resources or strategic importance our corporations want their hands on, you will find a rebel/terrorist group that was funded indirectly by our corporations and/or govt in some fashion or the other.

You think the Iran-Contra affair was just an anomaly? That is standard business practice. What's worse, is only about 50% of that nightmare ever made it to the public via mainstream media.

I agree with everything you said in this response. Propaganda in my eyes have been running rapid in the states. I wish I was to Nieve to see it. But about the Indonesian thing. What period in time are you talking about? Indonesia has a long history. But I can't see anything that resembles the middle east. The only similarities I see are the influence of outsiders imposing on them. Still today. They are the largest Muslim population in the world but most are registered as Muslims because of political or populous reasons. You have to be one of 5 religions to even be an Indonesian citizen and athiest or agnostic is not one of them. I'm not sure but I don't think Jewish is one either. Many Muslim practices there are a mix of Buddhist and Hindu influence. Even old pre BC temples such as Bourobudur has proof of being both a Buddhist and Hindu shared temple. There are Islamic radicals there because it is easy to travel in and out. Radical Islamics are looked at as kooks from the middle east and deamed as crazy. Such are the people that pulled off the Bali and hotel bombings. People there live in fear of these radicals. It is just an easy country to disappear in. It is also surprising there are a huge number of Christians there, mostly Catholic. So my question is what point in history are you talking about? The Dutch, the Chinese, Japanese, other Europeans or the wealth of other Asian cultures that are prevalent there? Indonesia is a mix of many cultures, much like New York City. Bali, Lombok, Java, Sumatra Timur? Indonesia is a very diverse and geologically spread out nation with huge condensed populations. So rather than just naming Indonesia, What part and period in time are you talking about?

Off the top of my head, if I remember correctly, early 1970s. That is when we went in their and put that country in debt up to its ears.

Indonesia is a region that is rich in oil, yet stricken with poverty. You do the math.

Yeah, the Federal Government in this country put a somewhat quick damper on the Christian Identity type Extremist groups that were operating in this country for the most part years ago. Most of them these days are just arm chair extremists or very heavily underground teaching their ideologies, but their still a threat.
The some-what solution of the threat has always been...
Those type of groups in this country are heavily monitored and kept under close watch from undercover officers/agents,informants & other organizations.
If they weren't, there is no doubt in my mind that shit would go down.
That is the obvious reason why they are watched/monitored so closely.
But they have a handle on it in this country for the most part.

The Mizrahi Exodus comes to mind.

Many other events as well but I guess the Zionist payed for all of it.

Much of the problem simply comes from Palestinian jealousy for their ethno-religious neighbors.

Bali, Lombok, Java, Sumatra Timur? Indonesia is a very diverse and geologically spread out nation with huge condensed populations. So rather than just naming Indonesia, What part and period in time are you talking about?

Indonesia is a region that is rich in oil, yet stricken with poverty. You do the math.
You mean when we helped them with stomping out Communism in the 60's? I'm sorry, I don't see that as a viable comparison to the point you was making. Which was my original question. Why Indonesia. Indonesia is a country I know a lot about as I do business there and go there at least twice a year. I would love to see a history channel story on it like the one on the US named the story of us. It is a very interesting country. If you are interested in some Indonesian facts, here is a pretty straight forward brief description of some of the statistics. http://www.everyculture.com/multi/Ha-La/Indonesian-Americans.html#b
And here is a more political one. http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/2748.htm
I'm sorry, I don't see the comparison. We could only dream that the middle east someday becomes an Indonesia.

You dont see it as a viable comparison because you dont know the price the Indonesian's paid for that so called protection from communism. We had a strategic and commercial interest in controlling that area, and it started with oil. I looked it up, we put them in debt to the international monetary funds sometime after 1971, not the 60s.

Keep reading, you'll figure out what Im talking about. Ask yourself how their entire modern infrastructure was built, who built it, and how they are paying for it (with oil). That infrastructure that allows you to do business there does not benefit its people, thus the reason that place is poor when it should look like Dubai.

At the time period Im talking about, less than half of their oil reserve basins had been explored.

In 1976, shortly after we went in there, they were producing oil that ranked them much higher per day than they are now in relation to the rest of the world. Indonesia's Oil production today is half of what it was in 1976 when it peaked.

They are also a world leader in coal and natural gas exports.

Hell, Iran only does 3 milion per day currently (5% of world production), and what, you think were really going to invade them because they set up a nuclear reactor? We're just mad because were not the ones who got to build and maintain it. But have no fear, we'll blow the snot out of that thing and their entire infrastructure just so we can go in there and rebuild it.

Indonesia's oil industry is one of the oldest in the world. You think we really were protecting them from communism? Or we were protecting our rights to their oil contracts. You might think that their production isnt worth much, but their untapped reserves were at the time, and still are.

Only a complete moron would denounce someone doing research and "looking things up".

Here's an interesting fact,Jab.
You know who worked along side Ford to give the go ahead on that East Timor invasion?
Kissinger! (The same guy who had HUGE interest & influence in the Iraq war. Go figure.)
A lot of the stuff about that ordeal was classified for the longest time and some still is.
But you can find out some of the details/dirt and laws they broke knowingly like supplying US weapons and other stuff from the State Department records at the National Archives. There is all sorts of dirty shit in there back from that era.

On a side note, currently East Timor's oil fund alone is estimated at about $10 billion a year.

Classic Israeli / US hedgemony right there that is the driving force behind the fanaticism on the Muslim side. The sooner we - as Ron Paul would have done or claimed to want to do, distance are self from Israel the better. Sending them endless $Billions in aid a year when this is the type of behavior they are known for is foolish. We are broke, this is not the way to spend our money and not the right Gov't to support.

Hegemony (UK /hɨˈɡɛməni/, US /ˈhɛdʒɨmoʊni/, US /hɨˈdʒɛməni/; Greek: ἡγεμονία hēgemonía, “leadership”, “rule”) is an indirect form of government of imperial dominance in which the hegemon (leader state) rules geopolitically sub-ordinate states by the implied means of power, the threat of the threat, rather than by direct military force.[1]
