Here is picture of old vs. new when cut open.
Has anyone heard anything about how the fork seals and what the maintenance schedule is going to be like? Is there any sense to worrying about a fork seal going and you just blowing through the stroke?

There was a video of bones talking about these forks, they said they tested this scenario and let all of the air out of the forks and it didn't sag too much.

Crush, I believe that the air is contained in a chamber within the fork and so the seal really isn't holdong back the air spring pressure.

If it's anything like a conventional fork, there is a layer of oil between the air and the seal

Forget the CFR, Yoko gear still exists!?!?! Where have I been? Do they have a set with all the fluorescent colors like the early 90s?

Can you do that trick for RS Taichi MX gear?

Thanks, man. Let me know.

Cheers... I'll watch the Bones vid too tobes... TWMX was it?

Pretty cool to see some new stuff coming through... Till they get way lighter and maybe hydro clutches it's hard to think what else or how they'll get way better...

gear looks extremely rad- if price point is right you guys will havea solid winner when its released. personally i buy MSR gear and like it because its a good mix of qaulity and competitive pricing and i am very happy with it.

bike looks good, its hard to beat a new bike, and its a tough call to say any new bike isnt 'good' when just ridden in comparison to older bikes-but me being a honda guy im sure the thing is a solid choice. almost always is.

Great thread! Wish we could have more threads like this.

Great little review on the bike....and I also agree that the Yoko gear looks really good.

You can tell your brother he is doing a great job with the gear, and that white and blue gear is probably the best one I have ever seen. And by the way, I have an old Yoko pant that is probably the most durable one I have had to the date

I talked with KYB technics and they told (if I understood them correctly) that the outer fork sealing is actually the same that last year. They tested it at track and dyno and didn't have any problems with durability. They also made scratches to lower part of the fork and tested it in dyno with water, sand and mud with no problems. The maintenance schedule is the same, even though the oil isn't supposed to get as dirty as before.

And yes, the KTM pictures are from Cahuilla. -Eagle- wins something (I don't know what (not million unfortunately), but we'll come up with something, if you can up pick it up from Monster Cup ; )

Yoko is currently sold only in Finland and few other countries. Although Vital might not be only way to evaluate if Yoko should come back to US/AUS, judging by people's reactions here, it might not be bad idea ; )

Lol. I love how everyone goes crazy for the gear, because that's what I thought way more interesting instantly, too.

I was mistaken because I thought the air was somehow captured in a chamber or bladder but it isn't (at least in the KX design) so the fork seals do a better job of sealing things up than I realized.

The exhaust does have different sized outlets. The right silencer has a smaller output so the flow is spread out between both mufflers. They did the same thing to the dual exhaust CRF250r's.

Gear looks great like other's have mentioned.
Thank you for letting me know and setting my mind at ease. The reasoning behind it makes perfect sense too. Im just glad I wasnt seeing things Smile

The back end of that Fonda where the twin butt-bubblers come out under the number plates looks about 24 inches wide.

Let's see some photos straight down from the top, to show how wide the ass end of that Fooper is....

Im sure the new honda is alsome. I personally wouldnt buy one cause of tje dual exhaust thats the stupide thing i think they could of done. U think they would of learned from the 250f. Its not economcal , especially when bikes are 9 k to start with.

I think it would be a great idea to bring Yoko back! I love that black and white pattern gear you're wearing in the op i would buy that.. Yoko would do great in the amateur scene over here, no one wants to wear the same shit as their competitor! but i just got flashes of rockstar logo's so i might be wrong lol

Here is some photos. To be honest, when riding, I didn't notice the rear being any wider. Overall the bike had very sleek and light feel.

it’s so awesome to hear the jealousy, " I would never buy a bike with duel exhaust" "too wide" "I hate the looks" ha-ha, you know as well as everybody here you would take one in a heartbeat. Just bummed cause you have no money or bought another color first and now kicking yourself...so true

That bike is awesome and if the person that developed it is correct...it's going to be THE Supercross weapon.

Also, some of the "Twin Systems" that're coming down the pipe (Pun intended) are looking AWESOME!

I'd take one in a heartbeat to trade it for a KTM or Yamaha two stroke.... if I could find someone to take it.....
