Just read about that in Racerhead:

Before I get back out there on the track, looking ahead to Lake Elsinore next weekend, there's going to be a lot of stuff going on. There is a brand new track being built by Marc Peters (he sat out Steel City and Mark Barnett came in to do the track sculpting) and lots of activities around the weekend, including the amateur racing at Lake Elsinore and Ricky Carmichael University on Monday

The guy doing the video needs to stop taking jump names from the East coast tracks and come up with something original this is the West coast damnit.
And Mark will do a excellent job with what he has to work with there.

I was gonna say something about it being flat with what looks like SX style jumps but didnt wanna judge by the video and get smashed cuz ive nvr been there in person....

No one enjoyed the last 100% man made flat piece of land with SX style jumps so lets replace it with a diff one. JMHO tho

Nobody can build a better track than Peters when he is given the right tools and guidelines to work with. I bet the track will have more options, better passing and it looks like they will using the truck track too. As always, good job Marc...

That would have been funnier if he said "holy cow balls" instead of "holy cow"

Where is all the money coming from to build this place. The white fencing alone would cost a fortune. Also, why on earth, would someone dump so much money into a flat, dry, windy old lake bed......Dizzy

I'm gonna try and remain optimistic, but it doesn't look too promising. I was completely wrong about Pala, but I think this is going to be a big Monster Energy Cup. The facilities look amazingly nice, and who knows; sometimes the vision of the owners and builders and promoters isn't realized until race day.

I was thinking the same thing while watching the vids. Gah the owner must be a millionaire with a love for MX... Thats got to be a lot of money. I have to say... If i hit the lotto i would buy the piece of land off of I-75 in GA on the south bound side inbetween cartersville and calhoun i believe its mile marker 306. There is a rest area on the north bound side and its directly across from it. I would turn that into a national caliber track and hopefully get the first southeast national. Smile I love dreaming! But that piece of land is perfect for a real national track. the natural curves and layout of that land is amazing. But im sure just to buy that land would cost a couple mil.

Okay dude, we get it... you need to promote your business. The screen name, avatar and signature aren't enough? Please, give it a rest. Hopefully, people are smarter than your "guerrilla tactics" and they hover over the link and see where it takes them.

Back on topic, Glen Helen really needs to come back. However, I am very, very intrigued to see this place on TV on race day. I think it is going to be very picturesque.

Glen Helen shot themselves in the foot twice already. I don't see it happening.

Marc Peters knows how to build a track, and I have faith that he will make this first time Nat at Elsi a great one! Let's be optimistic people, instead of being Debbie Downers, ok? The people who brought back LOMX from the dead are thumbs up for keeping moto alive and well in the town of Elsinore! (which we all know has a history of mx)

I know Marc will make the most of what they have there. However, national tracks need hills.

How hot does it get at Elsinore this time of year?
Other than that one large canopy, there appears to be very little shade protection anywhere.
