B. When your idea does not address the problem of pointless wars ex:Vietnam...

It's a dumb idea because it simply gives politicians more " freedom" fighters. You making your kid join the military?

When every young adult has an equal opportunity of going to war, the public will take an interest into why we're going to war. There's a reason why Vietnam was protested so heavily.

No, not making my child go into the military, even though I served (35th Wild Weasels). Reason why is that I don't agree with all wars we've been involved in since WWII. Not one threatened our sovereignty. Not one.

Surprised you don't see the value in a mandatory draft when the military is used. Odd.
I wouldn't be eligible for the military do to a foot that's 2 sizes smaller than the other, my surgery for keratoconus in my eye and I'm sure my age so I wouldn't be sent anywhere unless America was at the bottom of the barrel for recruits.

I'm not one to force people to fight wars like they did in Vietnam and die. With a draft wars like Iraq and Vietnam will still happen. Only difference is that people that want to be doctors, lawyers, and small business owners would die as apposed to people that willingly sign up for it.

Sorry champ but I visit the Vietnam Wall once a year. We don't need more of those and that's all we'd get out of a mandatory draft because big business and lies will always run the political system we have.

I am one to force military investment by the public. When you have a volunteer force and a government manipulating the system to do whatever they want for profit, goddamn right military service should be mandatory. Wars should cost a country a lot more than throwing it on the credit card (which is what this country has done). We not only fuck up our own country, but the people we attack for nothing more than profit are lives to be valued and the American public should be willing to pay for them.

Oh, and NOBODY would be exempt from a mandatory draft. If you're walking, you're in. That includes the politicians immediate family. In fact, they would get special priority and be the first to go. Let's see how important saving Kuwait oil from Iraq is then.

Thank you for your personal "sacrifice" of visiting the wall.

"Champ". Cute.

You can put all my medical problems and special boots on that credo card you speak of.

That and the same people that where ineligible for the draft in Vietnam would be equally ineligible for ANY draft. You live in a fairy-tail world if you think they'd inact a draft that goes against the qualifications they have now to join the military.

And fuck you cunt, I have friends on that god damn wall. Hope your kid burns in a car crash. Ignorant fuck that has all the answers on a fad diet that most people that have any clue about diets disagrees with. What a joke. Run to a mod and scream whaaaaa whaaaaa whaaaa.

I lost two very close friends when the 35th Weasels went into Iraq the first time, all to protect the investments of some politicians and their Wall Street buddies. So, I have vested interest myself.

Nah, I won't run to a moderator or anyone. I never have, and I never will. You being an ignorant ass that spews insults without intelligent discussion isn't my problem; it's yours. You have to live with it. I'm just smiling I'm not you. Have a wonderful day!

Sounds like a 70% success rate to me. HOW MANY OTHER V/C Co's have that RECORD?
Umm, why are you bringing Venture Capital into it? That's a different discipline, which focuses (not exclusively, but primarily) on capitalizing new businesses at the beginning of their life cycle, not privatizing existing ones after determining that the market value of the whole or parts can be enhanced by some reorganization, which does not necessarily grow the business.

The VC business is far more miss than hit given its focus on businesses at the beginning of their lifecycle, but the activity is far more necessarily concerning with growing businesses. If the business never grows and becomes viable, the loser is the VC.

They are both "private clubs," but the spill over of one is different from the spill over of the other in terms of impact on the economy that affects average joes. Private equity is much more about maximizing and keeping the income in the club without a lot of regard for the consequences to other stakeholders in the business.

I'm not the one that insinuates something and tries to be the cool, know it all who actually lives a sad life in a reality land where politicians sons will ever be put on the front line in a war. I understand that life's not created equal and the wealthy will always have a way out, the rich will always have a hand in someone's pocket to get what they want, and idiots like you will act like we should send more people in to wars created by politicians by creating a "fair" draft. I lost 3 of my closest friends during and around the time of the Tet offensive which is why I go to that memorial every year.

Don't patronize me with some bull shit that somehow you'll make war fair with your "draft". I've already lived through one. I wasn't a qualified candidate for the same war.

The problem with the Vietnam draft is that it targeted the poor and excluded the wealthy and prominent. My suggestion is to make EVERYONE, especially the prominent and wealthy, accountable and ready to sacrifice. There's a big difference between what happened in the Vietnam draft and what I suggest.

I volunteered to serve my country. I served. I saw my friends die for nothing more than to increase someone's wealth. They're not some distant name on a wall.

I'm not a know-it-all. I am opinionated. But, I'm willing to discuss rationally and with civility. You're an angry person, and that's truly your problem. You don't like me, and I don't care, because I'm not an angry person like you, threatening your loved ones (in fact what I suggest is trying to protect them and you...but you don't get it), and no matter what you do or say, you'll never, ever drag me down to that.

Have a great day. And I mean that sincerely.
