The Win-co thread got me thinking.
There is foods recently in the last 3 years of my life I have started to love but use to just dipise.
Its funny how are taste changes over time.
For me,
Mushrooms, I would not toch a mushroom. If any mushrooms touched my spaghetti sauce, I wouldn't even bother eating it. I would just have plain noodles. Now I find myself buying loads of mushrooms and cooking them in my spaghetti. I use to hate the texture now I love it, even the taste.
Sauerkraut - If there was a jar open of this stuff when my family was eating hot dogs or whatever. Or I had to stand by it at ball park I would be a little drama queen and make a huge scene about the smell of it. The taste was awful too, sour, it tasted like trash then to me it seemed like. Last summer when I was back home, I was working close to a Friday Fling deal. Shops and food carts would come out and all you could smell was Reindeer Dogs cooking. For some reason working one day I had the craving for Sauerkraut on a hot dog and haven't looked back. Its now something always in my fridge for hot dogs.
Shrimp is another food I never liked until about two years ago. Not sure why I guess the look grossed me out, I could choke it down but would enjoy it, now its shrimp cocktails for days.

Tuna drink!@##$%
He said go home, pour a can of diet soda into the blender, add a can of tuna, mix and drink. I did so. It not only tasted like tuna and diet pepsi but had the consistency of vomit. I felt like such an idiot.

Funny, Its my favorite things now.
When we have left over stuffing i make a stuffing burrito and it is the bomb!
..and i now love cranberry sauce on Turkey sandwiches.
My biggest pet peeve and HATE HATE HATE HATE is fucking mustard! that is pretty much the grossest substance on the planet.
When my little bro was just a kid we were in the kitchen and he thought he was being funny and he wiped a knife with mustard on it on my arm, he was only prob 8 or 9, and i punched him so hard he flew across the kitchen lol
Shit now i am hungry.
Im to total opposite of you Level, i LOVE seafood, not out of a can though lol
Watermelon is something I used to hate. Taste buds didn't like it. Now I love it.
He also eats bananas!
Damn im getting hungry, sitting here drinking a beer (which i very rarely do) and eating popcorn. Might have to bust out a pizza!

Butch,
which liver don't you like? They're all very different! I don't really care for Calf's liver or Lamb's liver but Pig's liver and especially Chicken liver are reallly nice - just dont overcook any of them or they get really 'dry'. Just about my favourite quick and healthy meals, that I first got in a little french restuarant is, chicken livers fried with a little garlic and onion served on a salad of just baby spinach leafs and french dressing.
And Scottie, Which Mustard? the three types are SO different I'm not sure why they're grouped together. I quite like French and American mustard but I also hate English mustard.
"Currants" for instance, when I was a kid I used to love them but one day, perhaps 4 or 5 yrs old, I was eating from the tub where we kept them in the food cupboard when I suddenly noticed them moving! Turns out the whole tub was invested with sodding ants! Even to this day I can't eat them or barely anything with dried fruit in it. Freaks me out a little bit.
Used to like Ketchup but now it revolts me. Though I do absolutely adore BBQ sauce, I literally put it on something like 80% of whatever I eat. It's weird.
But I guess the taste came when I started to like Sauerkraut and in which I fell in love with Reuben sandwiches ha.
Wait I still hate okra, friken green beans with post nasal drip.
ALL OF IT! i dont know if something happened to me when i was a kid or what, but i am so disgusted by any and ALL mustards. I was watching the show "Pranked" on MTV the other day and a guy squirted like 1/4 of a bottle on a slice of bread and slapped it on his friends face who was sleeping, i was seriously dry heaving / gut retching, literally sick to my stomach.
If anyone did that to me i would kill em!
I used to hate baked potatoes as a kid too, but now I love them.
