Dirt Bikes Float?

I've seen way too many dirt bikes videos, hard to find something interesting lately. But this just blew me away, smooth flying with the Heli.

Nice video, I really like the remote controlled helicopters!

As the Sony FS700 becomes more widely available, the market will be flooded with slow motion videos because of its ability to record 240fps at 1080P resolution. I guess it's time for Canon to step up.

Yikes. Amazing potential here. Be great to see these guys deployed by a guy like Troy Adamatis and worked into a film with more substance. Brave sending up a £6000 camera on a remote control heli too!

The FS700 is a game changer, beyond the slow motion the picture is incredible. Wondering which magazine or moto web front will pick one up first. Good bye over colored and baked DSLR moto vids. My 7D just became worthless.

I agree that the FS700 is a game changer and I wish Canon would react quickly with a 4K DSLR.

However, I don't think it's a fair to compare the 7D ($1,500) with the FS700 ($8,000). On the other hand, the FS700 does make the Canon C300 look VERY expensive at $16,000.

For sure, the only reason I compare the two is because before 5D/7D was good enough to make a totally cool industry standard looking moto video. But now I just look at the footy and it reeks DSLR. The C300 is a complete joke for the price IMO and Canon's new 1DC DSLR shoots 4k but for $15,000 not impressive at all. Down the road, Sony claims the FS700 can be upgraded with firmware and external recorders to shoot 4k raw as well. Exciting times for this technology. Cudby needs to get his hands on one of these and throw his glass on it, comp edge practice videos would get a face lift, no doubt.

Really depends on what kind of work you are doing and the camera's ability to stay relevant for some time. Commercially, I bet these guys could line up 3-5 shoots and pay for the cost of the camera without a problem. There is also the option of renting the camera which would run around $400-500 for the weekend, a more viable option for a professional video guy doing side gigs here and there. IMO, the $8000 price point is really at the tipping point of owning vs renting for an average professional video dude. For me I would drive around $500 truck and live off spaghetti in order to own this thing, but that is because I love cameras.
