Has cost jarryd McNeil 2 gold medals now! How can they base a competitions results on votes? Its BIASED! That was a fashion show out there and the actually skill of the whips did not determan who was the best again! This has to change!

They needed the camera behind them. They didnt show half of the jump and what they did show made you feel like you were watching it drunk. Twitch had the worst whips....

X Games/ESPN has always had terrible camera angles when in real time. I don't think the understand that one camera for the whole show is all you need. 50% of the time they missed the whole whip when transitioning from the ramp camera to the wide angle camera. You'd think by now they'd have a system in place to do it properly.

Gibby its ridiculous and obvious, why woul they ever have a system of voting that's so unfair. I honestly can't believe that a governing association coul be that destructive in there format of judging a winner, this isn't American idol these guys are risking their lives.

If they are going to make it a joke and have text voting then why even award a medal? A medal should signify winning a competition as judged by your peers, not people at home who decided weeks ago that they'd vote for whoever they want to suck off.

Potter, McNeil and Edgar T wiped the floor with Twitchs whips (imo). No disrespect to anyone because they are all awesome riders, but Twitch had the worst whipper snap out there...

I could barely watch it camera's switching every second. I'am pretty sure I saw more of the ramp than anything else. Didn't see more than three complete jumps all the way through so you could see what the whip actually looked like haha. It was horrible.

Same shit different year. The producers want ratings and the way to do that is make the viewer feel engaged. I was lucky enough to attend the best whip competition at the Dew Tour in Vegas before the monster cup. Seeing it in real life is unreal. Mcneil is the best in the game right now and can throw any 'style' of whips, and do it bigger than anyone.

Looked like a a great contest.....that the real winners got robbed.....and they have camera men on crack running things!

Wasn't sure exactly what you guys were talking about until I watched it today......I damn near threw up from motion sickness! Sick

"To me"....looked like McNiel won and I would say Potter 2nd. But honestly.....I couldn't judge it fair because of the stupid camera angles!!

As far as I'm concerned, Potter won the whip contest, McNeil won the head whipping contest, Twitch won the "best career" contest, and Lano won the "whips I could watch all day" contest.

I was surprised how small Lano and Hansen's whips looked on TV, they looked solid in person.

I disagree, McNeil didn't have the best whip. Potter and Stenberg's were pretty good most of the time. Hansen's and Billy's were silky smooth and cool looking. E.T.'s were alright, but just reminded me of McNeil's. I'm not a fan of McNeil's seizures he has in mid air. I would have voted for Stenberg or Potter, really.

I also agree, camera angles sucked at first!!

I'd pretty much agree with all of this. McNeil doesnt have a bigger whip, he just moves around10 times more on the bike. If everyone else did that they would loo way bigger. Slow things down and actually compare the bikes, don't pay attention to the rider and you'll understand

THEY NEED 10 MORE SECONDS BETWEEN RIDERS JUMPS!!! The reason the camera guys could not keep up was because the riders were going right behind each other, they should put a split screen on the tube cause some guys were landing as another took off right behind them. It seemed to me, that I could not completely evaluate the whip cause guys were going too close right behind each other. . . By the way, Im more whipped in my AVATAR than twitch got last night. LOL !

Robby, your bro was dog wild in Step Up. That was great to watch, hopefully he's feelin alright.

And yeah, just becuase McNeil turns his head 270*, doesn't mean the bike is going that far. He does a cool 180 I guess, but I wouldn't vote for him in a contest for "best whip." I can get on a swing on a playground and tilt my head way back, doesn't mean I'm doing mad backflips! (I can tho, just in case you guys were wondering.)
