At this point, the following people/entities are looking like Geniuses:

American Suzuki Motor Corporation
Mike Genova
Mike Alessi
Tony Alessi
and everyone-else that's contributed to the success of the MCR/MA800 effort this year...from FMF to Tuf Racing/UFO, JT Racing, Galfer, MB-1 Suspension...all of'em.

Here's why...

American Suzuki Motor Corporation-They're getting the Biggest Bang for the Buck by NOT supporting the WINNINGEST Team that's running their stuff...Results for Free, if you will. Furthermore, Mike's making them look good by PICKING OUT THE BIKE HE WANTS TO RIDE...Regardless of the Money (Same can be said for JS7, too!). Note: He and HIs team are getting these results on a BIKE that YOU CAN BUILD...You can't say that about the Factory Bikes...

Mike Genova-This guy's got a mission..."Brand Development"...I don't know if he's following up on his racing success with sales...you know...Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday! (Racing on Saturday, actually) and I don't know if he's as happy as we've all assumed he is...but...he's getting good press and his rider is kickin' some ass! Graphics, Goggles and Mechanic/Pit Gear ...he's doing all sorts of stuff and he's got a helluva productive group of people.

Tony Alessi- "Tony this, Tony that...bitch, nag, talk shit...blah, blah, blah, blah..." Hey, Nay-Sayers, S-T-F-U. Where's your kid at? How're YOU doin' at the Nationals? What have YOU done...EVER? How many times have YOU produced an Effective Championship Rider and Bike, hmmmm? Now, it's true, any "Race-Dad" can be a pain in the ass.
Just one thing...this Race Dad is getting R-E-S-U-L-T-S.

Mike Alessi-Most notably, for having Faith...In himself, his God, His Girl & His Family. Always pursuing his dream and believing that Hard Work will Pay Off. Also, riding the bike & DEVELOPING & CONTINUALLY TESTING the Bike ON IS OWN (Insert Tony, here, too...).

A Privateer Effort, Buying their bikes, running off the shelf hardware, developing their own package...ON THEIR OWN...well...with the help of some great Sponsors...to be sure!

While I could say it's priceless... I won't... because Mike G can tell you just how much the Price Really Is...and here's what he'll tell ya...

" It costs...A LOT!"

Then he'll tell ya it's worth every damn penny.

As to the Question of "Works Parts" and Direct Factory Support...I'm pretty damn sure that Mike-n-Mike-n-Tony would accept it; however, I'm I know that at-least ONE of them LOVES beating the Competiton without it.

Good People, Good Results, Good Times.

Well said Team Green (and overdue)! Felt this way even before his/their most recent success. Hoping for more success for them in the future.

He was in beast mode in moto 2 at Lakewood. My eyes were LOCKED on him the entire moto because I was legitimately pulling for him...AND, he was on my MXD squad that day Wink
6/13/2012 3:08pm
I feel a win or wins will be coming his way this year, a championship isn't out of the question. Wouldn't that be a hoot? Mike's starts are amazing and he was up front about 15 mins in each moto. It can happen.

While you are correct in saying this there is a part of me that thinks that IF there were a few others involved in the current series I think he would be down the list a little further.

I know, I know. You gotta be in it to win it. Or get second or something like that.

Yup, I said that...still think it would be nice for them to get a parts allowance; but, hey...Pat's got other Irons in the Fire: AKA, wait 'til next-year.

All things said and done...Mr. Alexander's lookin' pretty damn smart, too (And, I -STILL- think there's be more to gain by making the 800 "Yellow"...)

As to Bob454 and his COMPLETELY Gay Post:

So tell me, are mike and Tony's dicks made out of chocolate and shoot money into your face? Judging by that write up you must be able to give me a detailed map of both of their gooches....

Not taking anything away from the results, but easy bro....I hope they are paying you

There are those of you that love to imply shit like this...however...why is it YOU always gotta Gay It Up?

Very "Telling".

Truth is...I've watched this family and their "Program" evolve from their Am-days at Honda...thru KTM...Zook...back to KTM...etc. I have a job that takes me to a lot of these events and I get to see this stuff day in/day out. I've paid attention and at times have been involved with some of the Teams in question.

Still, I've gotta ask...how is it that some of you...up in here...always gotta go straight for another man's junk?

Truly...kinda Gay.

Absolutely: If you follow the "Standard Model" for Team Selection...as of right now...He "IS" your 2nd 450 rider...now...isn't he?

Funny, I hadn't even thought of that.

Exactly, if the field wasn't depleted, he'd be 6-8, just like he has been the last couple of years.

While Mike would be deserving I do not know if that would happen. With Decoster being involved in the selection the team backing the rider for a big international race is important. MCR are doing good in the US but do they have the money and resources to put in the effort that Decoster/Team USA would expect for the MXDN?

Mike Brown was the last private team rider picked for team USA and in the end he was replaced before the event. Mid season bike issues resulted in Brown being replaced by Tedesco.

If Stewart is not for some reason in the mix I could see Barcia on a 450 with Dungey and Tomac/Bagget on 250. Or even Weimer/Tedesco on 450, they both have MXDN experience and the backing of factory Kawi/PC.

Not saying that it would be fair, but the riders team could be a big factor in rider selection.

I was going with folks that actually started the season...which doesn't change the fact that you are correct; however, Mike is in it.

All the rest of this is "speculation".

Rv is out, Reed is out, Bubba is out, Canard is out, and MA800 has yet to win a moto... and doesn't look to me like he'd be a lock to win if the Dung was to be out.. not sure how this year is any different than any other year for MA... he's a good dude, and fought through a lot, but let's not call him the new messiah until after he's won a few nats...

I'm not saying MA sucks. All 40 guys that line up at a National gate haul ass.

He's gone 7-3, 5-3, 4-9, and 2-2 so far this year, which is good. What's so different than the last couple of years? And this year is much thinner than the last few.

Next year, he'll be dealing with Barcia and Wilson too. Does he move down a couple more positions? Maybe, maybe not.
