I ride mostly moto but a little bit of cross country and regardless of my riding location I end up using a little bit of coolant every ride. Some people have suggested a heavier duty radiator cap. I was thinking maybe an after market water pump. Any suggestions on how to keep the bike running a little bit cooler? I've adjusted the idle up and down and that doesn't seem to help at all.

when the coolant heats up it expands and pukes some coolant out....when the system cools (bike starts moving) it contracts and when you check it it is down a little. A coolant surge tank catches the coolant surge and as the system cools returns the coolant back to the radiator just like your car does.

I recomend Engine Ice.
