Rider count is down for the lites class. Usually they cap it at 90 and have to enforce that cap for sign-ups.
2 weeks ago it was something like 57. This past weekend it was in the 40s.
Here is an idea, AMA.
1. Shift that last CA national from rd. 12 to rd 2. i.e. Hangtown, then Elsinore/Pala/GH
2. Take away one PA national.
3. Add (give back) one FL national. DC doesn't like Monster Mountain. Pick Another. GA would be ok. The fact that FL does not have a national closer than Budds CReek (all the way in Maryland) is an absolute tragedy. Make THIS the last round.
What does this accomplish? A logical path around the country, starting west, and going east. CA still gets its 2 nationals. Then you hit Texas, then Colorado. Skip Mt Morris. Go straigh to Budds, Southwick, REEDDBUUDDD, 'dilla, ect.
Then finish up the series in North FL or GA, so that you arent going from Steel City, all the way to Elsinore.
MX is a traveling city. This is not just the privateers. Its the photogs, the media, the whole industry would save a TON of gas money by just making those little shuffles. Ca will still get 2 rounds. the PA area will still have plenty of races, even with losing Mt Morris. And most importantly, the Southeast will get a National back. I could get out a calculator and figure out travel expenses saved with this, but I think it's easy to see.

I think since they are spending money, they should get points for the race 1 point for last. The AMA doesn't incentivise racing when you are a slower riders. The guys in the back of the pack want to know where they stand compared to others as well.

Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
All real simple;
Stop charging them big money to race and actually pay anyone who qualifys real money for being part of the reason spectators paid to get in the gate.
They get treated like leepers, actually charged high fees to be part of the show, and probably went home with nothing $$$ from the AMA/Promotors to show for it.
