Instead of whining how DC will not add a 125 to the schedule, make your own series.... I mean have the main class the 125cc Pros and Expert Classification. Then have a Open A, Open B and Open C (as support classes), with qualifiers just like the Nationals now. Adding the other classes help guarantee a big turnout.. You could even add different classes if needed.. This would not be very difficult, I could see starting in 2013, easily. Now stop whining and lets do this thing!!!

the timing is right for this with 1-2 new 125s coming out of Japan, next model year.
Here's an idea. Count how many National tracks have lighting. Run these on Friday night before the National, so you can have a nice industry evening, and cap off the evening with a real motocross race at 8pm. That will do nothing but bring more fans (who spend money) to the race earlier. I just don't know how many of the tracks have lights. Colorado is one.
No parts and a marketing dept. who came to realize why are we doing this when buying on Monday ain't gonna happen.
I say "Davi bring the Euro companies on board"!!! Pull down Saturdays banners and put up Sundays banners to reflect the new Euro contingent of 125's.
Which 2 Japanese companies are releasing "new" 125's next year? And who really believes this?
No entry fees.
Live TV broadcast around the world/web.
Run the old supercross type format with Heats,Semi's & LCQ,rather then 2 motos (that way there is more races).
20 rider mains,40 minutes plus 2 laps.
Have a stock/manufactures class & a mod/works class.
Have 10 rounds.
Huge purse money in each class something like this scale 650k/700k combined both classes,to where if a rider won both stock & mod he could make 100k for the day (or a million if he sweeps the series).
50k 1st
35k 2nd
25k 3rd
20k 4th
19k 5th
18k 6th
17k 7th
16k 8th
15k 9th
14k 10th
10k 11th
9k 12th
8k 13th
7k 14th
6k 15th
5k 16th
4k 17th
3k 18th
2k 19th
1k 20th
(DNF = 0 pay)
Go for it Nate,it would only take time & lots of money.
Industry autograph signing, and all that good Friday shit, followed by a 125 race. There has to be 6 tracks with lights.
Heard from another reliable source about the Japanese 125s, but I a like anyone else... not going to drop the guy's name and skyline him like that because people will him. He debunked the Honda rumor, but mentioned Kawasaki and Suzuki.
Unless manufacturers (including KTM) start homologating their bikes again, there won't be any legal two-stroke bikes left for AMA Pro Racing.
The FIM has a 125 class. They, the FIM, also instituted that under-15 rule, which I believe is the catalyst to this all.
I guess all we can really do is keep an eye on that 125 series, and see if the Japanese factories send a developmental rider+bike over there in about another 8-9 months.
Hey Maeda, why dont you get on the phone and "nihongo shaberu" to find out what's going on.
Pit Row
Besides, the whole homologation thing is an AMA rule isn't it? The same AMA that no longer has anything to do with "pro" racing?
1. I like DC.
2. We would end up like Megadeth (125 championship), never really comparing to Metallica (AMA), and eventually giving in to drug addiction.
Can anyone roger up with the tracks that have lighting?
1. Thunder Valley
2. elsinore
Outdoors though, where real motocross takes place.....what a great addition it would be. And we all know DC is moto to the core.
What specific shock are you looking for? I'll ask some of my vintage nutjob friends. Mind numbing some of the stuff people have stashed away.
