I have looked in the rule books for the reason however, I cannot find what I am looking for. WHat is the reason for given the frame numbers at the Area, Regional and National Amateur events?
From my understanding, you have to run the bike you start the race with. Also, you dont have to run the same bike at the National or Regional as you rode during the Area qualifier, correct? People do buy new bikes between races, I assume you just have to run what you show up with and log the VIN for that day...

However, I know if you are at this level and have an issue, your pretty much done with getting in but...
At any AMA sanctioned event, you are not allowed to switch motorcycles after you've started your first moto in that class for the day.
