Seems like he's struggling to get into MX shape to stay out front. Is he suffering from any of the sicknesses that's plagued riders in the past and prevented them from getting their endurance up?

Those 250's, though....great racing.

Hard to argue with a moto win. In the 2nd moto he said the rear brake faded and got really squishy. Towards the end it began to come back. Short had a similar issue in moto 1 where his back brake got caked and went away. TV doesn't do justice to how deep those ruts got and how it affected people.

Barcia has never really done extremely well outdoors, in fact he has surprised me a little this year with his results. I wouldnt say anything is wrong at all...he is doing way better than any other year, though he did start out 2009 with a bang leading races.

I think he's too big for that 250, I think the 450 is where he will show his true colors.

Yeah, I know. I didn't hear him saying his rear brake faded. I watched the second moto, and it looked like he was just running out of endurance. I was suprised to see him right there next to Roczen, although it would be nice to know how that happened. Not sure if Roczen was making mistakes or if the lappers had a huge thing to do with it. No doubt he was battling hard for the first 16 minutes or so.

I was kinda bummed that Tomac didn't put the move on.

He is a little less sick than Tomac and Roczen, but a lot sicker than Baggett.

Barcia also charged through the pack in Texas and almost caught Roczen there too. Seems to be in pretty good shape.
