I know he is leading the GP's by quite a bit of a gap, but he has gotten a lot of help from his inconsistant competition. He certainly doesnt seem to be winning as much as usual. Is something wrong??

(Watch he will probably go 1-1 tomorrow)

Nothing. Bulgaria and Italy really suited the French riding style, and anyone can have a bad race in the mud. The St Jean track is obviously suited to the french guys as well, so it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't win this weekend.

He only won twice in the first 5 rounds last year as well by the way.

Competition stepped up. Cairoli is always super consistent and fast but I think they are a lot of people who are faster than him ...

His lead would obviously be bigger if not for the Brazil mudrace,he holeshot that 2nd race and went down,so you could say he's had his inconsistant rides too,the class got deeper with Pourcel and Paulin,it would be tougher still if Frossard and maybe Nagl were there and Bobryshev was fit from the start,it's hard going with another 5 or more guys all pretty much as fast as him,5 race winners so far this year and Desalle hasn't even won yet,buy it all adds to a great class to watch Smile

I often wonder if AC222 just messes with his competition.... Every year we hear about all the competition in MX1 and every year he wins the title by a mile!!!

On his way to being the next Everts? It's hard to argue with the guys results the last couple years. Didn't get to see him at full potential in '07 at Budd's Creek, but hope they bring the MXdN back while he is still on top of his game. It would be fun to see all the top guys do battle, RV, JS, Super Tony, Roczen, Baggett, ect. (replace your favorite US rider for any of the 3 listed, whatever suits your agenda)

I find it hard to see a problem when he is leading the points.

He made 2 great starts today,I'm a huge fan but I must say Paulin was the most impressive,especially1st Moto,he was7th after 10 mins and by the end he was almost in reach of AC222 Shocked

Shame he crashed in the 2nd Moto, superb race though 20 minutes in and the top 6 were around 6 seconds apart Smile

Isn't he leading by 30+ points in what's suppose to be a deep field of talent?

You want to see them all race each other? Do yourself a favour and take a trip over to Belgium and see it! Stay a few days there, travel round in a hire car, see the sights, eat things you wouldn't at home and don't eat things you would! Who knows, you'll probably come back a healthy, happier and more well rounded person. If you go with an open attitude you'll certainly enjoy it. A real common phrase in Europe - "travel broadens the mind".

First sentence of first post...
