...that's faces what's behind him or Dungey has to get around him and gives us another view of what he has.

I hope those two (and everyone else) can stay healthy and keep bringing the noise.

I pretty much posted the same thing about a camera facing backwards on the video page. Love watching for a few laps, but gets boring after a while.

I'm pretty excited for the race that JS gets a bad start (nothing bad, just a mis-shift or something) and has to work his way around at least 15/20 riders. Then things will get interesting...

It would be cool if Dungey was wearing one also.

Need ta put one in front of the bars facing back, along with the back view so they can change the cameras up on the play back to make the vid more interesting, or at least try it, to see if it is better.

I'd like to see one mounted on the rear hub.

X2... I'm really wondering why Go-Pro hasn't offered him a sponsorship. If not for sx...then outdoors for sure. How awesome would it be to watch both perspectives back to back? I understand their view if they want the more "exciting" rider...but with the epic battles we are expecting all year... They are doing themselves, and the fans a disservice by not giving RD5 one.

This is, of course, assuming they haven't offered him one and Dungey declined for some odd reason. I've never been around one... Do they add any sort of noticeable weight to the top of your lid?

That's some funny chit! I think he should have two Go-Pros on his helmet. One facing forward and one facing back. Then edit the two together. James is a stud he can handle a little extra weight on his lid.

They just need a mini remote contoled pivot. With modern micro technology this should reatively easy with minimal weight.

Oh Snap!!!

ATT GoPro... Please release a GoPro with two lens, standard front lens and back lens to capture the action behind!!!

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

In the one camera. Two separate files to edit.

Surely they have thought of this / is in the works...

Cool

that's why james will never be as badass a magoo was...magoo would just turn around and ride his scooter backwards just so his fans could get their wish and see who's in 2nd.

Yes, micro technology loves dirt, roost and rocks.

Try paying attention to them. The line selection, acceleration points. you can learn a TON from those GoPros. If you aren't up to even relatively closely emulating what he is doing, there are tons of GoPro feeds from riders of all calibers on youtube.

I study those things like course material. Tyler Wozney's on his CR250 two-stroke are excellent for me.

They won't. Theyll just release a box that holds two Hero 2 models, back to back, so you have to buy two Hero2s.

When in doubt, think like a bean counter.

There is another camera that is motocross specific, 60 dollars cheaper, and fits UNDER your visor that is going to be released in the near future. wait for it.

What I think would be great is to see the sides of him to see when he passes someone or when Dungey gets close enough to pass. if they use the 180 degree lens, if they put two of them back to back you should be able to get 360. That would be cool, a 360cam.

But even if they do it on the back, you just edit footage so you get front back and non gopro cam footage, then it isn't boring.

Remember back in the day when they used to show races from helicopter view? They do it in Baja a lot still....

Wit hthe advancements in Unmanned vehicles, they should toss one of those 3-rotor UAVs up there, and record some sections from bird's eye view, like a helicopter, without all the high costs.

I should just put one together myself and pitch a 12 race contract to MXSports next year.

Then the gopro would be covered in roost be the end of the first lap, and we'd get 30+1 of dirt...
