district 12

11 for me.

Not too many racers in d12 anymore. Turnouts are way down. Tracks are barely
cracking 100 riders on race days.

No 1 reason d12 is having poor turnouts on race days: gas prices. No 2 reason for poor d12 turnouts: the CRA. Also, you can't find any info on d12 harescrambles. Do they even have them anymore? What happened to the BUCCS series? (I mention harescrambles because scramblers will run motocross and flat track, whereas most motocrossers don't really seem to have an interest in anything other than MX.)

For whatever reason the CRA has a strangle hold in NE Ohio. D12 is falling apart
fast and I am wondering how some of the tracks even survive to keep going. I don't think
there have been harescrambles in D12 for two years now.

There are a lot of politics involved in both CRA and D12 from what I have seen. Area 330 tried getting ama D12 sanctioned races and from what I "heard" they were not wanted and kind of pushed out. What a shame as they have one of the nicest tracks in Ohio. There is a lot of greed on race dates and with so many tracks to choose from to race at any given weekend the turn outs are low. I agree, high gas prices have killed it for a lot of riders including myself.

I finally made it up to d12 last weekend. Went to scenic and turnout was TINY. Such a shame because that place is way better than it should be. Dude does a great job making that dirt way better than it is.

D11 has a GP series that sounds just like this.
So much fun.

ive heard not soo good things about d12 and 09 season. or maybe it is good.
either way... some changes.

OMG is a new promoter in the d12 area.
They have been posted a schedule & price guide on pitracer.
Yet to set up a website but if I can remember I'll post it here.
Looks like a good setup too.
