I haven't heard of one of these bands. I take it this isn't a stadium tour?

Not really, Worcester is at The Palladium and NY is at Roseland. Places like that, Im sure youve heard of Roseland. These are more mid level bands, they draw really large crowds for what they are. All these bands together will be Warped Tour level crowds (actually most of these bands are or were on Warped Tour)

I grew up watching these style bands in small club scenes and used to really enjoy it. Everyone was friends and always had a great time. Now its filled with those "slipknot" kids with JNCO jeans that wear shirts of the band theyre seeing to the show..

Random side story.. I just went to the Rise Against / A Day To Remember show/concert in Tampa, and it was total bro fest. EVERYONE had an ADTR or RA shirt on, all the local radio stations were parked in the lot cranking RA.. EVERY song possible.. I cant stand that. Paying the dumb money they wanted for a ticket (Ive seen both bands in club scenes for about $12..) then being overloaded with their stuff before I see them. No thanks
Im thinking about going to the one with the acacia strain. Honestly they are one of my favorite bands right now. About as heavy and technical as an anvil haha. Oceano and impending doom always kill too.

Oceano is the shit! I saw them with Miss May I and Acacia Strain last year, one of the best shows period.

haha every time I see that video, or even hear that song, it reminds me of this

https://youtu.be/4p6_WZJJNBw

I know that its not even the same band, but the way the video is shot, and the dudes vocals seem to match up pretty well haha

Went and saw pennywise and guttermouth last night. Always wanted to see pennywise and it was well worth it. Amazing show. They did a cover of an authority zero song with the lead singer from authority zero. Rise against is coming in September and I'll probably be going to that one too

Hellyeah killed it. I never heard them before or am really into that kind of music but they were over the top good live. Chickenfoot is on now. They are jamming. Satriani makes Eddie look like an amateure.

I'm not too familiar with those bands, but i grew up on Ratt, Skid Row, Warrant etc... anyways, re the hair comment...

I went and seen Steel Panther a month or so ago, i hadnt smiled, laughed or fist pumped that hard at a gig in a long time.

On June the 21st I'm going to see Pearl Jam for the very first time.

I know what some people might say... but both 'Ten' and 'Vs' helped shape the soundtrack to my teenage years.

They've always been a band I just had to see live at least once but they rarely play in the UK. This time they're not plugging a new album, just playing all the old hits, so to be perfectly honest I cannot f**king wait! Woohoo

Saw Buckcherry and James Durbin last week at the Hard Rock. Actually went there to take the wife and kid to see James Durbin (last season's metalhead on American Idol), who was the opening act. He was great, and I was pleasantly surprised by his band. His lead guitarist is like a young Zakk Wylde. They cranked out some awesome tunes from his CD, plus he did Dio's Rainbow in the Dark to near perfection. I wasn't real familiar with Buckcherry, and usually don't enjoy concerts when I don't know much of their material, but they REALLY kicked ass. Their front man is kind of like Scott Weiland after a six pack of Red Bull. One of the best concerts I've seen in a while.

Here is a funny thing from the Rocklahoma show the other night. Queensryche was playing on the main stage before Chickenfoot. It was a pretty sparce and dead crowd for them because most had left to the outside stage to catch Hellyeah. I don't think the Queensryche singer knew there was another band about to play that people actually wanted to see. He told the crowd they sucked.
