Is Justin Brayton riding the outdoors nationals carrying an injury over from SX? He came within a yard of being lapped by Stewart in Moto 2 @ Freestone and isn't in the top ten overall in 450 class after 2 races.
Considering he's on a full factory Honda ride, these can't be the results either side were expecting!

I don't know if he is fully recovered from his San Diego crash, but I don't think he is carrying any injuries. From what I've heard, it sounds like he just hasn't really got into 'outdoor' mode yet, and keeps getting caught up with bad starts etc. He said in an interview with Matthes that when he hits braking bumps he's hitting them with a Supercross mentality, rather than just plowing right through them. He started Supercross off a little slow, then caught fire, maybe it will be the same outdoors.

He caught fire in sx after 99% of the field was on the sidelines with an injury. He is a good racer and definitely fit. I expected him to do better in the nationals.

JB rode from San Diego SX onward with a fractured leg and right hand injury, couldn't practice in between races until about Indy. Definitely having bad early races right now and catching up positions slowly towards end of the moto.

didn't start too bad in this one though. He should be getting back to the top 10 soon.

I reckon after the series take a week off (after round four I believe) he'll be better, sort of like RV last week...

I think he's hurt worse than people know. He was moving around the Houston SX pits and could barely walk. I heard he's been riding with a broken bone in his leg or foot, I don't know what's going on at this point.

I would say he is hurt, especially after this last round. He just isn't saying anything.

don't know the guy but damn...look at the lap times...if he isn't hurt he's going to be when he doesn't have a ride. Dont believe I've ever seen a "Factory Honda" rider do so bad in two races in a row. Bad starts yea so what, get a move on as he's just not charging!!
