Kind of wishing CP377 was over here for the Nationals. I think he could be a major player in the series if his fitness was up. I'm not bringing up him coming off as a whiny bitch or anything......it's just when he is " ON "......the dude hauls the mail. He seems to be up and down on the GP scene , but weather you like the guy or simply just hate him......the guy is fun to watch when he is on his game.

Oh by the way, it does seem like lately unless it involves Stewart , jlaw, or alessi (maybe the gps as well) no one seems to care.

The guy is super fun to watch ride, I just cant stand the way the guy comes across, so arrogant and pompous and whiny. I am ok with him staying over in Europe. I am happy with the straight swap of Pourcel for MOOSCAN.

You're right man......we won if we traded Musquin for CP.........Musquin is a super cool dude. And again.....like you said , I dig watching CP ride.....just didn't care for some of the stuff he has said and done over the years.

CP on a decent bike would be a threat every moto and add some competition for the top dogs. I would like to see him over here again, but on a good bike this time. Whistling

Hold up here... When has anyone who has actually worked with him, besides DV who hates him, said that CP was arrogant or pompous or disrespectful.... Seemed like the Transworld guys like him. Seems like GuyB likes him. Seemed like Weigand thought he was a jokester....

Maybe the fans have built up this ridiculous idea of him that isn't true/

I don't have anything against him personally.....so what I said above was just going by general consensus. I have actually always kind of dug the guy.....but there are guys ON HERE that have worked with him on different occasions.....some liked him , some didn't. I'm heading out to work now....so I can't fill in any names , because at this very moment I'm drawing a blank. But yes...DV was one of them.

It's funny how much hype these european guys get and they actually struggle to win.... And then we heard so much negative stuff about Pourcel about how he was out of shape, he couldn't handle the heat, this and that.... and he won all the time. Sounds underrated to me.... I definitely hope he is on factory Kawasaki next year. I believe he should have been for the past two years and would have put in better results on that second bike by far than they have been getting.

Trey and I both liked him. And yes, we're missing something not having him here racing.

When CP was on he was a machine. Much respect for what he'd been through and come back from. But he just never came off well with the fans. When you're in a foreign country I think that can come off as very disrespectful. As a racer he was as unlucky as good.

The group of guys over here now are great ambassadors for their respected countries.

P.S I hope Treys doing as well mentally as physically. Now He's a guy that we're missing not having him out here racing for reasons even more important then the racing itself..........
P.S.S... Jeffroooo. Stop screwing up....Cool

I have not really worked out where a few people have got this view of him that he is whiny? He clearly did not like the Yamaha, so he left as soon as possible. No big deal, Stewart did it eventually. For Pourcel espically if he is not comfortable he will not go fast, simple as, he is very cautious now after his injury and so he should be.

I think he tried very hard for the US fans to expect him, when he lost the Championship in 2010 to Canard he seemed very gracious in defeat.

Would love to see him back in the AMA, he is smoother than ever now on the 450.

Yeah.... such a terrible ambassador... I guess when you put your mind to hating someone, you will hate them regardless of reality.

I'm not sure who said anything about hate...? I think he just rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way. He is an amazing rider and probably a great guy.

But he just never came off well with the fans.

Some of the fans, the rest of us seemed to think the dude was alright.

Would LOVE to have him back racing here. And I'm sure that's his goal once he graduates from that feeder series and earns himself another good ride here in the US. Can't blame him for having doubts when dealing with sub-par equipment here last year, but if I was Factory Kawi US, I would already be trying to work a deal with him..just sayin'.

Personally I'm not too sure he'll ever be back racing over there full time,he's an awesome talent, that goes without saying but he had some hardtimes there,he seems pretty happy now though and although it's going to be tough to become MX1 champ this year, next year is more realistic if he can do well on all the tracks and not just most of them.On his day he's as fast as anyone in the world but MX1 is very strong right now and I think it'd only be after sucess there

Word. I dig him a lot, he's different and spices things up with his persona, I newer heard any solid reason why people should dislike him, constantly misunderstood. Sure if you are Mike Genova you could build up kind of case, but the general fan don't have enough other than he's french.

Then we have his riding skills and style that should be enough to adore him despite him being whatever.

I'm so happy he's still around considering his horrible injury, and I'm so happy he's doing the GP, meaning I get a chance to see him every year. But I as a humble guy I wouldn't be mad at him if he went overseas again, I think he has unfinished business in the US.

In short, I'm a fan and Jeffro, don't be feel bad about initiating this thread.

I read somewhere he said "all the hard work in USA was not at the track or the Gym, it was other times trying to fit in and deal with the media."

Now he is home he said "it is no work at all", just does what he does best.
