Depends who you would consider a 'surprise'. Is anyone outside of RD5 and JS7 going to be a surprise? Aside from those two, the person who I think has the most realistic shot is Rattray. Grant has a shot at perhaps winning a moto, but finishing ahead of both the top two contenders in two moto's? Unlikely.

Well I know Metty has to be the favorite for southwick so that wouldn't surprise me. Brayton would be a good one. The smile that was put on my face seeing short win a supercross has got me rooting for him to be in the championship hunt.

nobody has mentioned weimer. he has won outdoors on the 250 and had a good year inside. i think if everything went just right he could steal an overall. I think he may surprise people outdoors.
